- Templo de la Luna - Based on the morphological features and chroniclers’ writings, this artistic site dates back to the Imperial Inca period (1438-1532 AD). It is carved into a rock, with ceremonies or rituals dedicated mainly to the Moon, as well as other deities like Pachamama (Mother Earth), conducted both inside and on the upper part of the rock. The moon figure carved into the rock is visible in the image below.
- Kusilluchayoc - El templo de los monos - This ancient Inca temple was likely used by tribes from the jungle. At this small temple, visitors can see monkeys carved into the rock and a special rock shaped like a human heart. It is located next to an Inca trail that leads to Cusco city, marking the end of our hike.
