• Zaanse Schans - The VIP tour at Zaanse Schans offers a delightful array of activities. Participants will enjoy a private tour of a Dutch cheese factory, learning the traditional cheese-making process and sampling over 26 varieties of cheese. Following this, there is a private tour of a wooden shoe factory, where a traditional clog maker demonstrates the art of crafting wooden shoes. The tour also includes a private visit to the Royal Amsterdam Diamond, where guests can learn about the history of diamonds and admire a diamond with 268 cuts. Additionally, there is free time to explore the windmills and capture memorable photos.
• Catharina Hoeve Cheese Farm - This is the first stop at Zaanse Schans. As previously mentioned, visitors will experience this historic cheese farm/factory with a private tour showcasing traditional Dutch cheese-making, the farm’s history, and a tasting session featuring over 26 cheese flavors.
• Kooijman Souvenirs & Clogs Wooden Shoe Workshop - At this location, guests can witness a live demonstration of wooden shoe-making by traditional clog makers, learn about the history of wooden shoes, and view various styles. Visitors can try on wooden shoes in different colors and take numerous photos.
• Afsluitdijk - Around noon, there is a picturesque photo stop at Afsluitdijk, one of the world’s most remarkable dikes. Here, guests can learn about the construction of this impressive dike, enjoy views of the North Sea, and see the largest inner lake in Holland, ‘Ijselmeer.’ [Note: The monument stop is currently under renovation, and the observation tower is closed, offering limited views. An alternative stop has been arranged, though the scenery may not be as stunning as before.]
• Giethoorn - In the afternoon, guests will explore the ‘Little Venice’ of the Netherlands, spending 3-4 hours discovering the sights with loved ones. The tour includes a one-hour traditional boat cruise, with the option to pilot a boat independently for added fun with family or friends. Self-guided boat rides are available at an additional cost (approximately 10 euros per person, depending on the season).
