- Church of St. Krsevan - The VR tour will transport you to the Church of St. Krševan, also known as Chrysogonus. This church, part of a male Benedictine monastery, was constructed in 1175.
This Romanesque church is one of the most stunning examples you’ll encounter, with its exterior beautifully preserved. Although it is not open to the public and often overlooked by tourists, you will have the exclusive chance to explore the monastery courtyard and the interior through VR glasses.
- St. Simon’s Church - Experience the interior of St. Simeon’s Church and discover the city’s greatest treasure: a silver-plated Gothic chest containing the relics of St. Simeon, a beloved patron saint.
- Five Wells - Here, you will learn about the construction of the Roman gates that served as the entrance to the ancient city of Zadar.
Following this, you will see the entrance to the Medieval city of Zadar and finally, the construction of the Venetian walls.
- The Forum - Begin your visit at the remains of the Roman Forum in Zadar’s old town.
This was the largest Forum built in Croatia, constructed between the 1st and 3rd centuries, now visible only as ruins.
With VR glasses, you will view the Forum’s construction from above, as if from a hot-air balloon, while an audio guide shares fascinating facts about it.
Additionally, you will enter the Forum and stand at its center, surrounded by recreated buildings and statues.
Finally, you will stand before the temple dedicated to Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva, dating back to the 1st century BC, and hear stories of ancient religious rituals.
When the VR experience concludes, you will remove the VR glasses and be amazed to learn that some parts of the Forum’s construction remain in their original location even after 2000 years.
- Bell Tower - This visual experience depicts the bombing during WWII, allowing you to view Zadar’s old town from the top of St. Anastasia’s bell tower. You will witness air attacks and the bombing of the city, with buildings burning and collapsing as planes drop bombs.
At the end, a map will show the heavily damaged areas of the city that no longer exist.
- Zadar Cathedral - St. Anastasia’s Cathedral, built in the 12th and 13th centuries, is the largest cathedral in the Dalmatia region.
St. Anastasia is one of the city’s patron saints, and her relics are housed within the cathedral.
With our VR glasses, you can explore the cathedral, learn about St. Anastasia’s story, and view the baptistery and sacristy, areas typically closed to the public.
- Paseo Maritimo - Visit the site of the former city market, where fish, vegetables, fruits, and other products were once sold.
Today’s open city market is located on the opposite side of the city because the former market was destroyed during WWII bombings. Many are unaware of the extensive damage Zadar suffered during these bombings, but with VR glasses, you can see residential buildings and a post office that no longer exist. Additionally, you will witness airplanes dropping bombs on the city.
- Sea Organ (Morske Orgulje) - At Zadar’s sea promenade, visit the Greeting to the Sun and Sea Organ, constructed in 2005. With VR glasses, you will see how this location appeared in the 13th century.
Once again, you will be in a hot-air balloon, observing the Crusaders attacking Zadar from the sea, and hear the background story of the Crusaders’ attack on Zadar, a Catholic city.
