Etna Wine Experience
Embark on a delightful journey to two Etna wineries for tastings and a traditional Sicilian lunch. This is an ideal experience for those seeking genuine local flavors.
The tour leader will collect guests at 9:00 a.m. from their hotel in Catania or a designated meeting point, transporting them in one of our comfortable 8-seater vehicles.
The tour begins with a visit to the charming town of Zafferana Etnea, known for its encounters with Etna’s lava and its reputation as the Sicilian honey capital. Around 11:00/11:30 a.m., guests will arrive at the first winery to begin the Etna Wine tasting, accompanied by an aperitif featuring local delicacies. A stroll through the vineyards will provide insights into their production processes.
The journey continues to a second winery, where guests will savor a full lunch made with fresh, local ingredients, paired with three Etna DOC wines. After lunch, there will be an opportunity to explore the vineyards further and delve into the fascinating world of natural wine.

- English and Italian guides are always available, French and Spanish are subject to availability. Upon booking, we will confirm you if the language required is available.

Wine and history for all - This was a mother-daughter trip, and the winery tour was right up our alley! We had a wonderful time getting to know Etna and its history. Our guide Mirko was fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, and a good driver. We highly recommend this tour for all wine lovers!

Excellent excursion - Everything organized to perfection already during Reservation. We were picked up at our hotel by minibus and dropped off at no extra cost. We were also provided with footwear because our sneakers were not suitable.
Exciting ethnic tour, fascinating views and beautiful Alcantara gorges, we had the courage to swim despite the icy water. Lunch and tasting of quality wines.
Special thanks to our Guide Giovanni, who in addition to being very prepared and professional was super welcoming, helpful and nice. We were a mixed group of Italians and foreigners and he was able to make us all participate by speaking and providing explanations in our language and English. To recommend to everyone.

A must experience! - This tour was beyond our expectations.
The vineyards were incredible, especially the first one Emilio’s.
We learned a lot with the presenters.
The tour guide, Andrea, was extremely knowledgeable, he answered all our questions in deepth.
His English fluency and vocabulary were great. The pick-up was perfectly on time, he was very polite and courteous.
At the end of our tour, after we were dropped off at the our Hotel, my son noticed he did not have his wallet.
We sent a message to the office through whatsapp and immediately they checked the van and Andrea, kindly drove back to our hotel with the wallet. What relief! Thanks for all the care and attention.

Beautiful Mama Etna and its luscious vineyards. - From start to finish the experience was amazing. The communiation was excellent, keeping us informed at all times. Flavia was our driver and tour guide, she was excellent and attentive, telling us stories about Sicily and 'Mama Etna' whilst driving between the vineyards. The vineyard experience was brilliant, interesting and so impormative. The settings were beautiful, like something out of a movie. The vineyard owner brought out a little cake for my friend as they found out it was my birthday.

Nice, however could improve - Our driver was wonderful and was very accommodating, however I think the tour could be better organized as we really didn't have anyone with us throughout the trip other than the wonderful driver that dropped us off at different stops. Then we were on our own with the winery people taking over. During the tastings we had to try and make conversation when things got quiet between wines or even after we ate or drank w/ the other people in the group, as there wasn't a tour guide keeping things going. It made the tour feel a bit drawn out and boring. We still gave 4 stars mainly because the wine, food and vineyards were pleasant, along with a very nice driver. We travel to many countries and do many tours and think not having a guide with you throughout the trip was a bit disappointing.

Great tour, no volcano. - It was very nice but did NOT include exploring the volcano at all. The three wineries were good, two at the vineyard, one not. Giovani was very informative with great history of Catania. Very nice and good English. I recommend but not if you want to go to the volcano.

Not much ‘vineyard tour’, but good wine! - Our guide was brilliant- very friendly, chatty and polite. The tour stops consisted of wine tastings and a walk of no more than 100m into the vineyards to be told about the history of the sites. We expected more of the ‘tour’ part, but neither vineyard actually produce the wine on site, so there wasn’t really much to look at! The wine was nice, and particularly the second stop with lunch was very good. We bought sparkling wine from the 2nd vineyard and honey from the first stop - so well worth the trip, and as I said- very enjoyable!
As a side note- I have no idea why there are currently photos of treks up Etna attached to this tour on Trip Advisor, the wonder into the vineyards could be done in flip flops, and you’re distance from the main slope of Etna proper!

You don’t visit Edna!! Only wine tour - This trip is NOT a trip to Etna. This was ONLY a wine tour near Etna. We did not do any tracking, visit caves or anything although it said so in the description. We were very disappointed. As we went home the next day we did not get to visit Edna. But a fine wine tour 🙃
