Journey from Ouarzazate to CHEGAGA through the Draa Valley

Draa Valley - Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel, then head towards M’Hamid, traveling through the Anti-Atlas mountains to explore the Drâa Valley. Pause for some photographs.

Tamnougalt - Visit the Kasbah of Tamnougalte, a fortified structure strategically located in the valley, showcasing the architecture of its era.

M’Hamid - After enjoying lunch in Zagora, continue to M’Hamid. Take a brief tour of M’Hamid’s center and prepare for the grand desert crossing.

Erg Chigaga - Once tents are distributed, embark on a camel ride to the large dunes to witness the sunset. Return to the bivouac for an evening around the fire at the base of Chigaga’s great dunes, with entertainment.

Return from Chegaga to Ouarzazate

Tamnougalt - Following breakfast, set off on dromedaries (for 1 hour) to reach the Ksour of Tamnougalte. Visit the kasbah, the Koranic library, and the Potters workshops.

Zagora - Enjoy lunch with local residents. In the afternoon, travel through Zagora’s tall palm trees along the ancient caravan route to arrive in Ouarzazate.

Foum Zguid - Depart for Ouarzazate via the track between the erg of Chegaga and Foum Zguit, passing by Lake Iriqui.

Shop Espace Taznakht - Continue on the road through Taznakht, known as Morocco’s carpet capital. Stop at the carpet cooperative for insights into the various types of regional carpets. After a lunch break, proceed to Ouarzazate.
