The mission is to enjoy a snack at Salo, such as viška pogača, soparnik, or salenjak, share the story of the pantry, and offer insight into the Croatian mindset through food and culture. This lively open-air market has served as the city’s pantry for over 90 years, making it an ideal place to start exploring daily life in Zagreb and to discover what locals eat and why.
• Cathedral of Zagreb - The next stop is the Cathedral, the most stunning building in Zagreb, marked by its turbulent history. Its fascinating past is a story that must be heard.
• European Square - The journey continues to European Square, where another piece of Croatian heritage can be sampled, along with a taste of something local.
• Jurišićeva ulica - Here, the origins of Croatian fast food are revealed, with an opportunity to try traditional seafood that locals still enjoy.
• Martićeva ulica - The walk proceeds to Martićeva Street, a favorite area among locals near the city center. Along Martićeva, there will be several stops, perhaps for ice cream, pancakes, or other sweets loved by Croatians. Coffee will be sipped while delving into stories of cherished local brands, restaurants, cafés, street art, and historical landmarks.
• Trg Eugena Kvaternika - The walk concludes at Kvatrić Market, a local favorite for its excellent selection and reasonable prices. Traditional-style dishes and local products will be enjoyed here as well.

All available tours, except those outside the city, follow the main tourist routes, the busiest spots, and the usual sightseeing zones. I want to show guests parts of the city that are still in the center, but have a much stronger local vibe. That’s the mission and vision behind this tour – for guests to taste traditional food, the flavors of our childhood, and to truly experience the local spirit.
