• Ban Josip Jelačić Square - This central square in Zagreb is our starting point. We’ll begin by experiencing local customs, meeting at the square’s two points, and discovering why this magnificent square is named after Ban (Baron) Josip Jelačić.
• Cathedral of Zagreb - As the tallest building in Zagreb, it has safeguarded over nine centuries of history both inside and out. Delve into the city’s rich history while learning about the area’s Christian heritage.
• Dolac Market - Centrally located yet discreet, this open food market is a must-visit for its fresh produce sourced from across Croatia to nourish the city’s residents.
• Upper Town (Gornji Grad) - Exploring this part of the city offers insights into its vibrant history and present. Discover more about the Mary of the Stone Gate, St. Mark’s Church, the Parliament building, Town Hall, and the streets of Skalinska, Tkalčićeva, and Radićeva, where remnants of old crafts persist and the city’s atmosphere is most palpable.
• Museum of Broken Relationships - Among the many museums in Zagreb, this one is on our route, so make a note to explore it further after the tour.
• Lotrščak Tower - This 13th-century watchtower holds a special place in locals’ hearts. As we explore further, the Stross promenade invites you to enjoy the city views and capture memorable photos.
• Funicular Railway - The world’s shortest operational funicular still runs today. Although a tourist attraction, it has played a significant role in the city’s development. We’ll bid farewell to the Upper Town and take a ride down to the Lower Town.
• Ilica - After delving into history, it’s time to learn about the present and future by strolling along the famous Ilica Street.
• Square of Petar Preradović - Locally known as the Flower Market Square, today’s vibrant atmosphere is evident on every corner. With the beautiful Oktogon just steps away, we’ll take this route back to the Main Square, where the tour concludes.
