Spice farm and stone town tour - Masoud was our guide, he was wonderful and made sure we got everything we wanted, plus some! We were unaware the excursion we signed up for did not include prison island since we saw some people post pics of it. He made sure we were still able to see it in additional to our tours. Definitely recommend him!

Great Cultural Experience – Worth a Visit! - Zanzibar Spice Farm is a beautiful place located about 30 minutes from Stone Town. During the tour, you can learn about various types of trees, spices, and their uses and benefits. The experience also includes local traditional dances and a delicious lunch, which was part of the entry package. I recommend visiting with the help of a local guide or tour operator who can arrange a car, driver, and entrance tickets for you. One thing to note: there are quite a lot of mosquitoes in the area, so it's best to bring mosquito repellent cream or wear long pants. We spent about 3 hours at the farm, and it was an informative and enjoyable experience overall. Date of visit: July 2025

Hanoud gave us knowledge, great experience, save feeling and a lot of fun. - We had a really nice trip with this funny relaxed Hanoud. He made us feel comfortable, save and has a lot of knowledge about the history of Zanzibar, Stone Town and Prison Island. But also how it is going now. We asked hem also about his life and family and it is nice to share the differences in our both family’s. We have got a nice place to lunch. It was one of the best experience on Zanzibar and we did a lot. We can highly recommend Hanoud. You won’t get sorry and have a really great time. Hanoud, thank you for everything and next time we bring our kids with us.

Excellent Stone Town tour - Masoud guided us around Stone town in such a nice and friendly way. He has a great knowledge of Stone town, Zanzibar and Tanzania and he told us so much interesting facts about the history and life today. Masoud has a very good English and we really appreciated this tour in Stone town (we didn’t do the herbs). I can really recommend Masoud and his company, Tina Bohlin (Sweden)

Excellent guide - After our safari in mainland we spent three days in Zanzibar. We were very lucky, since Masoud was our private guide for two days. Visits to Stone town and spice farm were extremely interesting thanks to Masoud. To hear a lot of history and fascinating details helped us to understand and respect the versatile culture of Zanzibar. But this was not all! Masoud arranged a real surprise on next day - we participated in private cooking lessons and helped in preparing traditional lunch for us. Such hospitality and kindness we will never forget. Masoud made our days in Zanzibar immemorable. He is extremely professional and informative, friendly with good sense of humour. We are happy to recommend him. Pirkko and Esko
