Better warn and then it's heaven - It is a beautiful island but we forget to say some things in travel agencies, if you know you will go there you will be seduced by the kindness, the landscapes but for gastronomy, frozen is omnipresent.... Summary of Main Costs (per person): • Fixed pre-arrival or non-flight costs: o Visa (standard): US$50 o Mandatory travel insurance: US$44 o Indicative total: US$94 (excluding tourist tax and specific excursions). • Flight tax: US$90 (included in the international round trip ticket price).

A Safari I will Never Forget - Magical! - When I say this safari was amazing, even that doesn’t begin to capture what I experienced. Traveling solo can be daunting, but this tour company made every ounce of worry disappear with how thorough, patient, and organized they were. Even when I misread the information and woke up late, they never once made me feel rushed or stressed. Instead, they patiently called to make sure I was awake and ready — something I’m incredibly grateful for, because this was my birthday gift to myself, and I would’ve been devastated to miss it. They picked me up right on time, got me to the airport as quickly as possible, had my tickets prepared, and handled everything with impressive efficiency. The flight to the mainland was its own little adventure — the pilot and attendants were friendly, the views were beautiful, and the entire experience felt special before the safari even began. Once we arrived, our guide greeted us with kindness and professionalism. He was knowledgeable, personable, and truly committed to giving us the best possible experience. I sat in the front seat, and it felt like having the best view in the entire park. As we drove through the reserve, I was nearly brought to tears. Seeing these animals in their natural environment — close enough to reach out and almost touch — was breathtaking. I’ll never forget the moment I found myself face-to-face with a matriarch elephant, no more than 10 feet away, on my birthday. Elephants are my favorite animal in the world, and that moment felt like a personal blessing. We saw everything you could imagine — lions, zebras, buffalo, giraffes, warthogs (Pumba himself!), and so many more. Our guide didn’t stop searching until he was confident we had seen every animal possible before our return flight. His passion and dedication made the entire day unforgettable. Lunch was a pleasant surprise — a delicious buffet with options for everyone. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the scenery made it even better. At one point, a baboon came through checking people’s bags, which had everyone laughing and grabbing their cameras. It was such a fun, unexpected moment. This experience was magical from start to finish. I truly cannot put into words how grateful I am that I chose this tour group. When I return to Tanzania — and I absolutely will — I’ll be booking with them again without hesitation. A once-in-a-lifetime experience that I’ll cherish forever.

Safari - 1 day - From start to finish this was the best experience. Prompt taxi to the airport. Simple transfer to our plane. Enjoyable flight to the park. What a treat was in store for us. We saw impala, warthogs, baboons, hyenas, hippos, giraffes and a magnificent elephant. Well worth the price paid and the local information provided by the driver. Such special memories.

Great experience - Private Safari 2 P - Pick up by a nice and competent driver at the hotel at 0400. Meeting point in the café seems a bit too much at the beginning. Up to 100 people roam here, all waiting for a day safari. Nevertheless, the boys have a good overview and each guest is informed personally and receives a BoardingPass (sometimes only a sign - not a plane ticket. But don't worry). The flight with a Cesna Caravan 208 (13 people) was pleasant and exciting. The safari begins directly at the tarmac. Shortly before we were shown skeleton skulls and explained in detail which animal it is. Of course also eating habits etc. Our guide Mr. Martin was great. You can tell that he has a great passion for the animals and is happy about sightings of them. Like lions. Since it is not a given to see these. The ride is far from pleasant despite a good driver. People with back problems are eliminated after 2 hours at the latest. Food (coffee and snack/lunch) was great and seemed authentic. Especially because we had to move our planned place for lunch - there were three lions chilling. Martin and his driver tried to show us as much as possible and explain. Neat water and soft drinks were always at hand. Mr. Martin accompanied us until departure- he was wonderful!

Magical Safari Experience - Magical experience. Everything from the hotel pickup in the morning to the drop off in the evening was perfectly organised. The tour itself was beyond our wildest expectations. We managed to see almost all of the animals. We saw elephants, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, impala, warthogs, vultures, baboons, buffalo and zebras. We weren’t lucky enough to see lions but our driver Herman said they sleep 18hrs a day and you can go weeks without seeing them. Ultimately it really doesn’t matter what you see as just being there in their natural habitat is magical. Definitely recommend this tour for true safari lovers!

Safari day that met our expectations - Perfect organization by Njema safari, the taxi came to pick us up at 4 a.m. at our hotel, the Zanzibar/Selous park flight was on time (6 a.m.) and we were welcomed at the entrance to the park by our guide. 6-seater vehicle, fairly quick departure then a day full of discoveries and emotions. In total around 10 hours on the slopes (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.), experienced driver/guide (his name: Enedi? I give it roughly) who did not hesitate to get off the slope to get as close as possible near animals. Drivers communicate with each other to indicate their locations. Small coffee/tea break by the lake mid-morning and one-hour lunch break at the foot of the baobab trees. We do quite a few kilometers, a lot of bumps+++ in the holes and bumps of the tracks, constantly. We saw Impalas and other antelopes, giraffes, family elephants, hippos, a wildebeest, baboons, zebras, a lioness+++, hyenas (3 kinds), crocodiles, birds (marabouts, vultures, eagles fishermen)… return to the park gate, we wait a bit for the plane at the edge of the runway, takeoff for Zanzibar. Our taxi meets us at the airport and takes us back to our hotel. Very satisfied with this busy, tiring day but with beautiful images and beautiful memories. Only downside: the invitation received by email indicated: time of activity 6 a.m., pick-up from your hotel. We were suspicious and wrote an email to the organizer for more details. In fact it was 6 a.m. departure from the plane, and 4 a.m. at our hotel (which was not noted).

This is not the best safari! - Poor value for money. Very dear we paid 1360 euros to two. The only difference is that we had a jeep alone with the driver. Very few remote and isolated animals. No hugs. All safaris do the same thing and meet for coffee break and lunch. After lunch we go straight home contrary to what we were told. Not recommended.
