This tour provides an opportunity to learn about the history of Old Town and the various phases of Zanzibar’s colonization with the help of our knowledgeable guide. Additionally, guests will have the chance to discover a variety of spices at one of the largest markets in town, including cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, lemongrass, and nutmeg. Our guide will be available to assist and provide ample time for this experience.
For the Prison Island (Giant Tortoise) visit, take a motorized boat from Stone Town to the Tortoise Island to see the tortoises. Please note that all tourists are required to pay the new Government Marine Conservation Tax, effective from September 1, 2025, which is $10 per adult and $5 per child.
