An Incredible Perched Village - This was the first "perched village" I have ever visited. Situated above a rocky crag and maintained much as it was hundreds of years ago, the little town evokes the time when fear of pirates drew people behind great walls. Our guide knew the history of the town as well as the more extensive history of Provence, Savoie, and the lands that would become France and Italy. A special treat was the amazing succulent garden. The views of the Mediterranean were also spectacular. There are many small shops selling high-quality good. There are two luxury hotels with Michelin-starred restaurants! All in all a fascinating tour.

Amazing day with Gianni - had a fantastic experience with Gianni as my tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and told the story of the medieval town in such an engaging and interesting way that I felt completely immersed in its history. Gianni spoke both English and French fluently, which made everything clear and accessible, and he was very attentive throughout the tour, always making sure I was comfortable and that my questions were answered. This was truly one of the most memorable tours I’ve ever taken, and I can highly recommend Gianni to anyone who wants to discover the history of the town in a captivating and personal way.

A beautiful day in medieval Eze - The views were amazing and our guide was very knowledgeable. The town is charming with lots of history, shops and restaurants. It is a challenging walk, if you have any difficulties in that department. Be aware that, if you come by train, the station is in the new part of Eze, far below the medieval city. We didn’t realize that when we booked our train tickets from Cannes while we’re still in the U.S. Because our hotel concierge alerted us that transportation from Eze up to the medieval city might be limited we got off at Beaulieu-Sur-Mer and took a taxi. We were able to arrange for the same driver to pick us up at an appointed time.

A must do in Eze! - Gianni was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide. We had a great time learning the history of the town which is like a museum. I don’t think we would have gotten nearly the full experience without a guide walking us through. Just the right length of tour as well. Highly recommend!

Great views - The bus stops at the lower part of Eze from which there is a climb up the hill to higher Eze village. The village is made up a narrow winding alley ways where you can find many small galleries and shops. The views along the coast are great, especiall from the exotic gardens at the top of the hill.
