Zhangjiajie - Upon arrival in Zhangjiajie, guests will receive a warm welcome from the tour guide and be transferred to the hotel for a restful stay. No activities are scheduled for today.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (Yuanjiajie & Tianzi Mountain)

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - This renowned tourist destination in Hunan province was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. The park’s iconic pillar-like formations are the result of extensive erosion over time. With over 90% forest coverage, the scenic area includes Yuanjiajie, Yangjiajie, Jinbian Stream, and Wulongzhai. Nearby villages and towns, home to the Tujia, Bai, Miao, and Hui people, offer rich minority culture and folklore, making them worthwhile side trips.

BaiLong Elevator - The Bailong Elevator is the tallest and fastest sightseeing elevator globally, offering breathtaking views of the sandstone peak forest. Standing at 326 meters, it can transport 3,000 people per hour in its three transparent elevators, taking just 1.5 minutes to reach the mountain’s summit.

Yuanjiajie - Yuanjiajie is one of the park’s most popular attractions, often referred to as the real “Pandora World.” Visitors can enjoy a thrilling hike and marvel at the South Sky Pillar, approximately 150 meters high, which inspired the Avatar Hallelujah Mountain. The Enchanting Platform offers stunning views of numerous stone peaks resembling bamboo shoots. This mountain provides panoramic vistas of the breathtaking Zhangjiajie National Park.

Tianzi Mountain - A shuttle bus from Yuanjiajie to Tianzi Mountain takes about 35 minutes. Tianzi Mountain is famous for its four natural spectacles: misty clouds encircling the peaks, stunning sunrises, moonlit nights, and snow-covered winter peaks. It features over 80 natural platforms for enjoying the magnificent scenery. A cable car ride to Tianzi Mountain offers relaxing views.

Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon with Glass Bridge & Yellow Dragon Cave

The Grand Canyon of Zhangjiajie - The tour begins with the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, a recently developed natural wonderland featuring mountains, streams, caves, cliffs, and forests. It boasts many charming attractions, such as the Bandit Cave, One Line Sky, Chuangwang Pavilion, Rotten Ship Rock, Butterfly Spring Waterfall, and Tianhe River Sightseeing Deck. Hiking in the valley is a refreshing experience.

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge - Situated in the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, the Glass Bridge is the world’s highest and longest transparent glass bridge. It spans 430 meters in length and 6 meters in width, standing 300 meters above ground level and accommodating 800 people simultaneously.

Yellow Dragon Cave - In the afternoon, the tour continues to Yellow Dragon Cave, the largest cave in Asia. This underground “magical palace” features expansive caverns, deep underground rivers, hanging waterfalls, and dense stone formations, each with its unique charm.

Huangshi Village & Golden Whip Brook

Huangshi Village - Spend the day in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, taking a cable car up to Huangshi Village, also known as Yellow Stone Village. A popular saying goes, “If you haven’t been to Huangshi Village, it’s as if you haven’t been to Zhangjiajie.” Notable attractions atop the mountain include Pick-up Star Platform, Five Fingers Peak, and Front Garden.

Golden Whip Brook - Descend Huangshi Village by cable car and explore the famous Golden Whip Brook deep in the valley. This 7.5-kilometer-long brook is one of the most beautiful spots in the entire forest park. Stroll along the paved path beside the whispering waters to immerse yourself in a tranquil wonderland with fresh air, colorful flowers, and lush vegetation. The walk takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, with opportunities to encounter wild monkeys.

Tianmen Mountain & Sandstone Painting Museum

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park - The final stop in Zhangjiajie is Tianmen Mountain, an impressive mountain range on the edge of Zhangjiajie City. Begin with a ride on the world’s longest cable car to reach the towering limestone cliffs of Tianmen Mountain. Enjoy a short cliffside walk before descending to the day’s highlight, Heaven’s Gate, a massive doorway in the cliff face. Walk along the mountain plank road built into the cliffs, feeling as if you’re in a fairyland when the mist is thick. The 99 Bends Bus Road is another must-see attraction on this magnificent mountain.

Zhangjiajie - The Junsheng Sandstone Painting Museum is a professional gallery showcasing a new type of painting (sand & stone painting) created by Mr. Li Junsheng, a renowned young artist of the Tujia minority and the founder of sandstone painting. Established in 2001, it was awarded AA standard attraction status by the National Committee on Quality Rating Assessment of Tourist Attractions in 2004. This personal enterprise combines research, development, production, and sales of sandstone paintings and unique folk handicrafts.
