The BEST tour in Zhangjiajie!! - Zhangjiajie was at the top of our list of places to visit when coming to China and Eric was the perfect guide for this wonderful place. With only a few days in ZJJ and as we don’t speak any Chinese , we wanted an organised private tour and Eric was exceptional. Eric was the perfect tour guide from start to finish, he is so kind and has a great sense of humour. His love for ZJJ coupled with his wonderful personality enriched our experience and would recommend this tour to anyone. As we arrived the day before the tour, Eric suggested some other activities/sights we could visit locally ourselves. He even included prices and times these would take. He truly went above and beyond. Shortly after booking the tour, Eric contacted me to confirm the travel arrangements. This tour includes the return airport transfer which really made such a difference for us as our hotel was 40 minutes away (I’m Wulingyuan which is closer to the National Park entrance). Eric and his driver were brilliant and made everything so much easier as he gave us clear updates and guidance before our flight departed and responded immediately to any messages I sent! Eric is a great photographer and took lots of pictures for us throughout the trip and told us some of the best locations to get pictures. Eric’s knowledge of the National Parks also allowed us to see a lot more than if we had been on our own. Not to mention the secret spots that Eric also knows about which have fewer tourists and are beautiful views. This made our tour feel so special as we were exploring off the beaten track. The views from the skywalk and the cable cars are breathtaking and we loved taking pictures of the monkeys and wildlife. As we visited several different cities in a short time, we opted for the foodie option as we wanted to experience the authentic local food. We are so glad that we did as Eric took us to several different (amazing) restaurants and allowed us to try various local snacks and fruits (especially loved the delicious red kiwi). Not many people speak English so if we had not booked this trip, we would have missed out on some wonderful dishes and would have struggled to order the food by ourselves. Eric was so considerate of our dietary preferences and ordered several different local dishes for us to enjoy. He was the perfect host and made sure we had enough to eat and offered to order more. Day 1: we had lunch and dinner included (we had breakfast at the hotel). Day 2: we had breakfast and dinner included with Eric (he bought snacks as we were still full from our breakfast). The selection of meals allowed us to try several types of dishes in local restaurants which those living in ZJJ clearly loved. The driver was also very professional and friendly and the car is very comfortable. The communication between Eric and the driver was excellent as we never had to wait to be picked up. I would highly recommend this tour if you want an amazing experience of ZJJ. Eric is an expert on the Avatar mountains, ZJJ and the Tianmen mountain. Mr - Had a wonderful time visiting the amazing mountains and town in Zhangjiajie with my daughter. It’s our first visit and though I had watched a video of the mountain, nothing can be compared to actually be on this mountain commanding a spectacular scenery and mountain stream. We were lucky to have wonderful weather and in particular a very good guide Eric Denny who showed us some hidden places perfect for taking good photos. I would recommend Zhangjiajie in your bucket list of places to visit and ask for Eric, who also speaks English, to be your guide.
