• Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park - Standing at an elevation of 1,518.6 meters, Tianmen Mountain is the tallest peak in Zhangjiajie and has been a stunning national forest park since 1992. It is the second 5A-rated attraction in Zhangjiajie, and visitors are often captivated by the steep cliffs and breathtaking natural beauty, as well as the panoramic views of the mountains and city. The mountain is renowned for the Tianmen Cave, a natural wonder formed by an ancient cliff collapse. Highlights include the Tianmen Mountain Cableway, the longest cable car at 7.5 km, the Bonsai Garden in the air, the plank road and glass walkway, Tianmen Cave, and the Heaven-linking Avenue. It is a must-visit destination in Zhangjiajie.

• Tianzi Mountain - Known for the iconic Imperial Writing Brush view, Tianzi Mountain is a highlight of Zhangjiajie Park and was featured on the first Zhangjiajie stamps. Many consider it the most beautiful mountain in the area. Dubbed the “kingdom of peaks,” it boasts over 1,000 peaks and numerous viewing platforms offering different perspectives. Its unique peaks, lush trees, and serene canyons resemble a Chinese painting, often described as an enlarged bonsai and a miniature fairyland. Helong Park, established in 1986 to commemorate the 90th birthday of Helong, one of the ten marshals of the PLA, is located here. Visitors can see his bronze statue on horseback and his cemetery. The Tianzi Mountain Cable Car offers a scenic ride up and down the mountain.

• Yuanjiajie - Known as Avatar Mountain, Yuanjiajie features the Sky Pillar, the largest floating mountain in the movie Avatar, standing 350 meters above the ground. The Sky Pillar, also called Avatar Mountain, is wider at the top and narrower at the base, making it the most famous spot here. The Enchanting Platform offers a mesmerizing view of green mountains in various shapes and distances, so captivating that visitors may forget to leave. A bus ride to the Bailong Elevator, which holds three world records, follows. It is the tallest outdoor mountain elevator at 326 meters, the fastest glass sightseeing elevator at 5 meters per second, and can carry 64 people at once. In just 88 seconds, visitors reach the top, where they can admire 48 peaks resembling generals in formation.
