Following this, the group will be led to the Pagoda Forest, a resting place for many distinguished monks. The visit will conclude with an impressive Shaolin Kung Fu performance in the theater.
• Longmen Grottoes - The Longmen Grottoes are among China’s four renowned ancient grottoes (including the Mogao Grottoes, the Yungang Grottoes, and the Maijishan Grottoes). At Longmen, over 2,300 sacred niches and 100,000 Buddhist statues of varying sizes, crafted by talented artisans, can be found. These grottoes are densely distributed along the majestic mountains, extending 1,000 meters (1,100 yards) along the cliffs from north to south. Additionally, there are 2,800 valuable stele inscriptions and calligraphy works from the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534) to the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), offering a visual delight.

Today, a driver will pick you up from your hotel in Xi’an city and take you to the bullet train to Luoyang. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your guide at Longmen train station. You’ll visit the Shaolin Temple and Longmen Grottoes. After the tour, your guide will drop you off at Luoyang Longmen train station for your bullet train back to Xi’an.

The Shaolin Temple is the birthplace of Chinese Kung Fu. It’s a fantastic opportunity to observe the daily life and meditation practices of the monks. Don’t miss the Kung Fu show at the Shaolin Theater; it’s the essence of the Shaolin Temple.
