• Shaolin Temple (Monastero Shaolin) - Guests will be collected from their Luoyang hotel or accommodation at a prearranged time and transported to Shaolin Temple, which is approximately a 1.5-hour drive. Relax and enjoy the scenic views along the journey.

Upon arrival at Shaolin Temple, the driver will purchase the tickets and wait for guests, allowing them to explore the Shaolin Temple independently. After completing the self-guided tour, guests will be driven back to their hotel in Luoyang city.

Shaolin Temple is renowned as the birthplace of Chinese Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Martial Arts. The entire complex can be divided into three main attractions within the compound.

Area One–The Kung Fu Performance

Upon entering the complex, visitors will find the Kung Fu performance hall. Arriving early in the morning offers the chance to see students of all ages practicing outside. The Kung Fu performance is spectacular and should not be missed.

• Pagoda Forest of Shaolin Temple - Area Two–Shaolin Temple

Shaolin Temple was founded in 495 A.D. at the western base of Songshan Mountain. It is historically known for its martial arts practice. Listed on UNESCO’s World Cultural & Natural Heritage List in 2010, it is the origin of Chinese Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Martial Arts, including Shaolin Cudgel.

Shaolin Temple features numerous fascinating attractions, such as the Hall of Heavenly Kings (Tianwangdian), the Mahavira Hall (Daxiongbaodian), the Pagoda Forest, the Dharma Cave, and the Martial Art Training Center.

Area Three–The Pagoda Forest

The Pagoda Forest is a half-kilometer walk through a wooded path, featuring a collection of tomb pagodas for the temple’s eminent monks and abbots. There are over 240 tomb pagodas of various sizes from the Tang, Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties (618-1911), making it the largest pagoda forest in China.

• Songshan Mountain - Please note this is a private transfer from Luoyang Hotel to Shaolin Temple; meals or tour guides are not included.
