Arrival, Transfer to Hwange National Park, and Late Afternoon Game Drive
Hwange National Park - Upon arriving at Victoria Falls Airport, guests will be greeted by their guide/driver and transported to Hwange Safari Lodge, a mere two-hour drive on paved roads. After checking in, guests will embark on their first game drive of the trip within the Hwange Safari Lodge estate, which seamlessly borders Hwange National Park with no fences in between. This three-hour drive extends into the evening, offering excellent opportunities to spot the big cats.
Full-Day Safari in Hwange National Park
Hwange National Park - Following breakfast, the guide will pick up guests for a full-day safari in Hwange National Park, entering through the Main Camp gate. Mineral water, soft drinks, a picnic lunch, and plenty of refreshments will be provided. Lunch will be enjoyed at one of the many viewing platforms scattered throughout the park. Guests will return to the lodge around 16:00.
Hwange’s elephants are renowned worldwide, with the park boasting one of the largest elephant populations globally. During the dry season, over 65,000 elephants dominate the water points in the afternoons. Other wildlife includes lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, buffaloes, impalas, kudus, sables, elands, waterbucks, zebras, giraffes, baboons, warthogs, and more.
Transfer to Victoria Falls, Guided Tour, and Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi River
Victoria Falls - After breakfast, guests will be transferred to Victoria Falls in air-conditioned vans, a two-hour journey. Following check-in, the group will head to Victoria Falls, stopping by the big baobab tree for a guided tour. The 2KM walk lasts about two hours, offering an awe-inspiring experience with the sights, sounds, smells, and humbling presence of Nature’s Masterpiece. Mineral water and return transfers are included.
Guests will visit the Open Curio Markets for souvenir shopping.
At 16:00, guests will be transferred to the jetty for a relaxing sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. Enjoy a sundowner and snacks while admiring the riverbanks. Have cameras ready to capture one of Africa’s stunning sunsets. This two-hour boat trip includes all drinks, snacks, and return transfers. Expect to return to the hotel around 18:30.
Full-Day Safari in Chobe National Park
Chobe National Park - Guests will be collected from their hotel at 07:30 for a full-day safari in Chobe National Park, Botswana. The adventure begins even before crossing into Botswana, with game viewing along the 70 km drive through Zambezi National Park to the border.
The safari starts with a Game Boat Cruise on the Chobe River, offering three hours of game viewing from the boat. A buffet lunch will be served at the four-star Chobe Safari Lodge. After lunch, guests will explore Chobe National Park in custom 4x4 safari vehicles for an afternoon game drive, visiting the upper Chobe River area inaccessible by boats. This is where the elusive predators, such as lions, hyenas, and leopards, can often be seen, sometimes with their kills.
Guests will exit the park around 16:30 for the return drive to Victoria Falls in comfortable, air-conditioned minibuses, arriving back around 18:00.
Last Day at Victoria Falls - Transfer to the Airport
Victoria Falls - On the final day in Victoria Falls, airport transfer times will be arranged according to flight schedules.
Guests may choose to participate in one or two optional morning tours before departing for the airport. Transfer to VFA.
