It’s the most photogenic spot and a signature landscape of Milos. Known as the “Sea Meteora” by Greeks, Kleftiko is accessible only by boat and is sure to captivate you.
FUN FACT FOR KLEFTIKO:
Kleftiko is a cove where pirates once hid. The English translation is Bandits’ Lair. The name Kleftiko originates from the days when pirates in the Aegean used its bays as a base, ambushing unsuspecting ships and looting them. Its natural caves provided safe shelter from harsh sea weather.

- Sykia - A CAVE YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS
Sykia is a magical cave in Milos. Its unique feature is the open top, allowing sunlight to create a spectacular display inside. The cave is 5 meters high and 20 meters wide.
The top part collapsed, creating a “hole” at the top where you can see the sky. The name “Sykia” means “Fig tree” in Greek, named after a nearby fig tree.
Sykia cave is only accessible by boat. While larger boats can’t enter, you’ll get as close as possible to witness this impressive phenomenon. Inside, there’s a small area of pebbles and rocks resembling a tiny beach.
- Kalogries Beach - THE BEACH OF THE NUNS
Kalogries Beach is a small, tranquil beach in Milos. Historically, it was a popular spot for sailors and fishers. Legend has it that its name comes from nuns seen wandering the area by seafarers. The beach is notable for its striking volcanic rock formations and crystal-clear waters. The port is sheltered from the wind, and the waters are shallow.

Klima village is well-known in Milos for attracting visitors eager to see “Sirmata.”
“Sirmata” are two-story colorful fisherman houses. The first floor is adorned with vibrant colors of blue, red, and orange, where fishers live with their families. The ground floor serves as storage for their boats, protecting them from bad weather.
Today, these fisherman houses are used as Airbnbs for tourists. The road to reach them by car is somewhat unstable.
