Curated experience with great food - I enjoyed my food tour! The guide really considered the types of foods I love while introducing me to Ethiopian food and taking me to different restaurants. We also had a lot of great coffee. The only complaint is that the tour ended, I could have stayed forever. Thanks Liyu Ethiopia Tours!

Ethiopian cuisine with Jhun! - Jhun was an absolute blast to hang out with! He took us to local authentic Ethiopian restaurants that we would have never found on our own. We felt like we got the true Ethiopian experience. We even went and bought mitmita before going home! I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience local Ethiopian cuisine. Plus Jhun is part time comedian and you will be sure to have a great time with lots of laughs!

A Truly Personal and Unforgettable Experience! - I had an amazing time on the Addis Ababa Food Tasting Tour with Liyu Ethiopia Tours. I happened to be the only guest on the tour that day, and instead of feeling awkward or rushed, it turned into one of the most personal and enriching travel experiences I’ve had. My guide was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, making the entire tour feel tailored just for me. He took the time to explain the history and culture behind each dish, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable and welcomed throughout. The food itself was absolutely delicious — a perfect mix of traditional flavors and local favorites. Being the only guest meant I got to try even more dishes and spend extra time enjoying each stop. It felt less like a tour and more like exploring Addis Ababa with a local friend. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city, whether solo or with a group. It’s a fantastic way to experience Ethiopian cuisine and culture in a genuine, memorable, and personal way. Thank you, Liyu Ethiopia Tours, for an unforgettable day!

Afternoon of local delights - We enjoyed an afternoon of many culinary delights with Oli and Israel. Started with injeera making, unfortunately our skills were no match for the expert women, followed by snacking on Nile perch and local beers then finishing with honey wine. Everywhere was local places and we felt comfortable throughout. Tour was adaptable to our preferences. We ended up staying for another tour even 🍻

Liyu food tour - I highly recommend this tour. I spoke to Yhun, and he was helpful and and informative. Olli was my guide and Awet was my driver, and they made the ride a lot of fun! And the food part was excellent, and also educational. Olli would explain the variations in the food, break down the names and share some history. Olli and Awet also answered my questions about Addis and gave me suggestions on must do activities. All in all, it was a great experience from start to finish.

Enjoy the local cusine - I am so happy that I joined this tour. Beside trying to bake the local bread, I tried so many different foods and drinks that even now, after hours, I am still stuffed. The guide Oli and the driver have been Realy fun to be around. Highly recommended to any foodie

Great tour with Yhun... - Great tour with Yhun Ejigu as my guide. I was late for my pick up time and he came to get me anyway. Had a great exchange over food, and after considering our conversation he adapted the tour on the fly for me and my last stop was a local brewery instead of a fruit shop. Smart choice. Ask for Yhun and take this tour (and go tot he brewery).

Food tasting - Olinol was a fantastic guide—knowledgeable, caring, responsible, and always made me feel safe. The van was clean and comfortable, which made the journey even more enjoyable. I really liked the market stop and would definitely recommend bringing some cash to support the local sellers. One highlight was the injera-making experience, where I got to try making my own ! The traditional coffee ceremony at a local coffee shop was another special moment. The coffee, flavoured with ruta, had a unique and special taste. Tasting the freshly made shiro was wonderful! Along the way, we enjoyed fresh sugar cane, and both the driver and guide were incredibly supportive and attentive throughout the trip. The day wrapped up beautifully with a fresh fruit bowl, making the entire experience truly delightful from start to finish.
