• Laneia - The journey begins at the charming Village of Laneia, where visitors can stroll through enchanting flower-lined streets and admire the stone houses. The tour includes a visit to the village’s Old Wine Press and the Olive Mill.
• Troodos Mountains - The next destination is Troodos Mountains Square, nestled among the pinewoods. Here, guests can enjoy a coffee break and explore stalls offering traditional products.
• Kykkos Monastery (Panagia tou Kykkou) - Ascending further into the mountains, the tour reaches the renowned and affluent Kykkos Monastery. Established in the late 11th century and dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the monastery is adorned with stunning gold decorations, paintings, and mosaics, and houses a revered icon of the Virgin Mary painted by the Apostle Luke.
• Throni - At the mountain’s summit, visitors can experience the breathtaking views from the Throni tis Panagias of Kykkos. This site, rich in natural beauty, was historically a place where monks from Kykkos Monastery would pray for rain during droughts by placing the Virgin Mary icon on a wooden throne. It is also the resting place of the first President of the Republic of Cyprus, Archbishop Makarios III.
• Pedoulas - Following this, there is an opportunity to unwind and enjoy lunch at a traditional mountain restaurant nearby.
• Lambouri Winery - Post-lunch, the tour proceeds to a winery for a wine tasting session in the island’s premier grape-growing region. Guests can sample a selection of exquisite local wines, including the renowned “Commandaria,” one of the world’s oldest named wines.
• Omodos - The final stop is Omodos village, where visitors can explore the Timios Stavros Church of the Holy Cross, visit the local bakery, and savor a traditional Cypriot coffee. The village, surrounded by the scenic wine-producing countryside, offers a delightful experience with its craft shops and natural beauty.
