Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - Following breakfast, the guide will transport you to the first thrilling safari destination – Tarangire National Park. This park is famous for its impressive elephant herds. From the vehicle’s open roof, you can explore the seasonal swamps, savanna, and Tarangire River, seeking out various animals such as zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, and giraffes. You might even spot a lion on the hunt or leopards lounging in the trees.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - Early risers will be treated to stunning views of the sunrise over the crater’s rim. After a hearty breakfast, you’ll descend the adventurous path into the crater. This UNESCO World Heritage site, formed millions of years ago, is 610 meters deep and spans approximately 260 square kilometers. With a dense animal population of around 25,000, the crater offers exceptional game viewing opportunities in Tanzania. Within minutes, you can observe wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and some of the over 500 bird species in the area. With a bit of luck, you might spot the endangered black rhino grazing.
Serengeti
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, enjoy a final view of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before continuing to Serengeti National Park, arriving by midday. As Tanzania’s largest park, the Serengeti boasts diverse landscapes and habitats, including grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannahs, and mountains. It hosts the largest wildebeest and zebra migration, and depending on the season, you may witness thousands of animals in search of food and water.
Serengeti - Full Game Drive
Mara River - The entire day is dedicated to more game drives in Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is home to abundant wildlife, including impalas, buffaloes, crocodiles, and hippos, but is best known for its massive migrating herds of zebras and wildebeests. The animals’ journey is influenced by rainfall and varies annually. From November to December, they move from the northern woodlands and hills to the southern grassy plains. During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return north. Besides the migrating herds, you might encounter predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions, always nearby.
Serengeti - Arusha (Departure)
Serengeti National Park - Spend your final day in the Serengeti, one of the world’s most remarkable places. Continue to enjoy the diverse wildlife and bird species. By now, you’ll be quite knowledgeable! Be sure to ask your guide to take you to your preferred locations.
