Tarangire National Park - In the morning, guests will independently transfer from their hotel to Zanzibar Airport for a flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, they will meet their Safari Guide and head to Tarangire National Park. Departing Arusha with a packed lunch, the journey takes about two hours through the Maasai steppe towards the park. Upon entering, visitors will be welcomed by a landscape filled with majestic baobabs rising from the acacia parklands, creating a stunning backdrop for the large herds of African elephants roaming the area. Other mammals in this habitat include lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, black-backed jackals, Kirk’s dik-dik, dwarf and banded mongoose, impalas, Beisa oryx, Steinboks, and African hares. Additionally, expect to see buffalos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and waterbucks. Birdwatchers may spot the Maasai ostrich, white-headed vulture, African scops owls, and the endemic ashy starling.
Ngorongoro Crater - Flight to Zanzibar
Ngorongoro Crater - Guests will enjoy breakfast at Heart and Soul Lodge or a similar venue. Ngorongoro Crater is a must-see destination that words cannot fully capture. After departing the lodge, the journey descends into what was once the fiery core of a massive volcano. Today, this Natural Wonder offers a serene environment where wildebeests, Coke’s hartebeests, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, and common zebras graze peacefully, largely undisturbed by the ever-present lions and cheetahs. The black rhinos here are notably less concerned about these predators. Birdlife in the crater varies with the seasons, but visitors can expect to see grey-crowned cranes, lappet-faced vultures, black-bellied and Kori bustards, Fischer’s lovebird, and northern anteater-chat, among many others. Lunch will be served at a designated picnic site within the crater. Later, guests will return to Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport for their flight to Zanzibar.
