Arusha to Tarangire
Tarangire National Park - After an early breakfast, you will journey to Tarangire National Park for a game drive, with a packed lunch in tow. This stunning park boasts the world’s highest concentrations of elephants and bird species in breeding plumage. Wildlife is plentiful, especially during the dry season, with large cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as the rarely seen Kudu, oryx, and gerenuk. Massive herds of gazelles, zebras, and wildebeests are drawn to the Tarangire River, where predators await. Later in the afternoon, you will proceed to Ang’ata Tented Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Central Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - This morning, you will head to the renowned Serengeti National Park, stopping at a Maasai village en route to learn about their elegant warrior culture. Upon arrival in the Serengeti, enjoy a picnic lunch before embarking on an exhilarating game drive. Visiting between May and July offers the chance to witness the great migration of wildebeests crossing the Grumeti River, a spectacular event as they navigate swift waters and crocodiles, only to face predators on the other side. You will spend the night at the Serengeti Heritage Tented Lodge.
Serengeti
Serengeti National Park - Rise early to depart the lodge and spend the entire day traversing the plains with the herds, experiencing the sights and sounds of the great migration. Observing the annual migration of hoofed mammals in a clockwise circle, followed by predators, is truly remarkable. The Serengeti is the ideal location to see all five of the Big Five (lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and buffalo) in one park. Return to the Central Serengeti luxury tent camps for dinner and an overnight stay, enjoying the lodge’s stunning views of the Serengeti.
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, embark on a game drive in the central Serengeti, known for its abundance of lions and leopards, which are often easily spotted. This central region offers year-round, exceptional game viewing. Delight in the endless plains and magnificent wildlife, including pangolins, ostriches, hippos, giraffes, elephants, and cheetahs.
Following lunch in the Serengeti, you will travel to Ngorongoro for dinner and an overnight stay.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Today, you will journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, home to nearly 30,000 animals, including the Big Five. The crater teems with zebras, buffaloes, lions, wildebeest, baboons, elephants, flamingos, ostriches, hippos, cheetahs, and the endangered black rhinos. The crater’s vibrant colors and shifting clouds create an almost surreal atmosphere. Recognized as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater is celebrated for its stunning natural beauty.
In the late afternoon, you will head to Farm of Dreams Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lake Manyara to Arusha
Lake Manyara National Park - After breakfast, your safari guide will meet you at your accommodation. You will then depart for Lake Manyara National Park. This small yet diverse park is named after a shallow salt lake that covers much of its surface area. The soda lake, which floods and dries with the seasons, is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. During your exploration, you will encounter monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, elephants, and, with some luck, lions resting in the trees. The park is renowned for its varied landscapes, featuring open grassy plains, primate-filled woodlands, and baobab-dotted cliffs.
After an extensive game drive, you will return to Arusha Planet Lodge.
Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport
Arusha - This marks the final day of your tour. After breakfast or lunch, you will be transported to the airport for your departure.
