Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park, Tanzania - After enjoying breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, between 0730hrs and 0800hrs, your personal driver guide will pick you up for a direct journey to Tarangire National Park, approximately a 2.5-hour drive to the entrance. The park boasts a diverse array of wildlife and landscapes, with the elephant herds being a highlight. It is renowned for having the highest concentration of African elephants and ancient baobab trees. You will also encounter a variety of animals such as giraffes, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, lions, leopards, impalas, gazelles, dik-diks, and many more species. The name Tarangire is derived from the Mbugwe tribe, where “Tara” means river and “Ngire” means warthogs, thus it is known as the river of warthogs. Lunch will be served at a picnic site between 1200hrs and 1300hrs, followed by a continuation of your game drive until late afternoon, when you will exit the park and proceed to your lodge in Karatu for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park
Ngorongoro Crater - After breakfast at your lodge in Karatu, between 0730hrs and 0800hrs, you will head directly to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, about an hour’s drive to the entrance. The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a geopark, 600 meters deep. Before descending into the crater, you will stop at a viewpoint to admire the view below. The crater is the best place in East Africa to see the endangered black rhinos, completing the Big Five. It is easy to spot wildlife, and you can spend 5-6 hours exploring the park if time is limited. Lunch will be at Ngoitoktok picnic site, a permanent hippo pool where many guests enjoy their meal. After a packed lunch at the picnic site, you will complete your game drive before ascending the crater and heading to your accommodation in Serengeti for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara - After breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti, between 0630hrs and 0700hrs, you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a drive of approximately 3 hours. Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its birdlife and tree-climbing lions. Located in the southwestern part of Arusha in the Rift Valley region, it offers various activities such as forest hikes on the Rift Valley, canoeing, tree canopy walks, and walking safaris around the lake. Lunch will be served at a picnic site, after which you will drive directly to Arusha to meet a representative who will bid you a special farewell. If you wish to spend an extra night in Arusha, arrangements can be made in advance, or if you have a flight, you will be driven directly to the airport for your onward journey home or to your next destination.
