Tarangire National Park - On the first day, guests will be picked up from their hotel in Arusha. After a scenic 2.5-hour drive, they will arrive at Tarangire National Park. Situated 120 km south of Arusha, this park spans 2,850 km² and follows the Tarangire River. The park is named after this river, which serves as the sole water source for wildlife during the dry season. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant population, baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons. At the end of the day, guests will head to Ngedere Camps & Lodge.
Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park - After breakfast, guests will travel to Lake Manyara, located southwest of Arusha. The park features groundwater forests, bush plains, baobab-strewn cliffs, and algae-streaked shores with pink flamingos. It is home to numerous elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, waterbucks, warthogs, and the elusive dik-dik and klipspringer along the escarpment ramps. Lake Manyara also hosts large troops of baboons and is famous for its tree-climbing lions, attracting visitors along with various species like mahogany and elegant acacias during the rainy season. Overnight stay will be at Ngedere Camps & Lodge.
Drive to Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - Today, the journey continues to the Serengeti, known for its vast savannah and forest landscapes. Covering approximately 30,000 km² in northern Tanzania and Kenya, with 80% in Tanzania, the park is famous for the migration of about 1.5 million herbivores and numerous predators moving from the northern hills to the southern plains due to drought. After the mid-April rains, they return via the western part. The grasslands, covering over a third of the park, are teeming with wildlife year-round. The day concludes at Nyani Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
Central Serengeti - Ngorongoro Highlands
Serengeti National Park - An early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park offers the chance to see wildebeests, lions, elephants, leopards, impalas, gazelles, cheetahs, and possibly the wildebeest migration before brunch. Afterward, guests will pack and head to Ngorongoro, enjoying an en-route game drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro, arriving late in the evening. Dinner and overnight accommodations are at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite, located on the crater rim.
Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater - Following an early breakfast, guests will descend to the crater floor for a 6-hour game viewing experience to spot the Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and possibly black rhinos. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at Ngoitoktok Spring. Other wildlife sightings may include hippos, giraffes, warthogs, baboons, and various birds.
After approximately 6 hours, guests will ascend the crater rim and return to Arusha, with an en-route game drive through Mto wa Mbu village. In the evening, they will be dropped off at their hotel in Arusha town or at the airport.
