3 day trip to the desert - I had Hamid driving us and had the time of my life. Super nice guy, so welcoming and helpful. Giving us little details as we drive across the country of sights we would’ve otherwise not noticed.

Merzouga - We had a great time. Hammid Arab was our driver and he was a great driver. Beware and wear sneakers and be prepared for a proper 2 hour hike on day 2, that was not explained. It was nice tho! Just don’t do it in sandals! Driver was excellent, friendly and nice.

The sunrise was amazing - I booked a trip to the desert 3 days/2 nights from Marrakesh. The driver Lauchen was very kind and thoughful. I took great photos and all the guides during the trip explained a lot about the culture and history. I asked for a private tent in the desert. The sunrise there was amazing. The bus drive was long but worthwhile. I recommend it.

My advice: don't do it! - If you want this trip prepare yourself for 3 days on the road, riding uncomfortable cars. Let's start with the highlights. The drivers are nice and carry people, ready to help but they do not communicate much because they know only basic English or French. The guides from the sites (2 ) are doing a great job. The first night is in a Berber camp, between some dunes, but not in the desert. The camp looks good, the employees are very welcoming and the food is very tasty. From here you depart after breakfast with 4x4 cars, with less communicative drivers. In the Chegaga camp you will find some dunes. The second night is in a Berber camp near Mhamid. The landscape is nice. Now, the downside: uncomfortable cars, rude tourists singing loudly in the vans or coursing the people they don't know... Tourists made noise in the desert camp all night long despite there was no party ongoing. The weather didn't work for us: sand storm and rain in Chegaga. We were very tired from the road and didn't manage to enjoy the landscape and on top of that it was the bad weather. And one piece of advice for the agency: pay the guy's along the way (drivers and guides) because tourists are not that generous... We prefer to pay more for services and know that everyone is happy with what they get and they are not expecting something for their service. It's just an opinion.

It wasn't all that great, to be honest. - Me and my brother went to Marrakech and of course, we wanted to see the Sahara desert. Although the bus was very comfortable and even had air conditioning, the driver was super rude. He couldn't speak English and his French wasn't the best either. So whenever any of the people from the group asked him something, he would just get mad and leave (I am guessing it is because he didn't understand the question). He also skipped some destinations that were included in the tour, he said that 'we need to speed up', although we arrived to each hotel at least 2 hours earlier. He did mention that he didn't want to argue since it's Ramadan (I am guessing he's even more rude normally, but then he said he's holding back because of the holiday), even though he worked 10 years there(as per what he said), I don't believe that there were no complaints about him before. Some men in our group were laughing about how mad he gets about nothings. He didn't even bring all the people back to their preffered destinations, because he said he was tired. Also, the hotels that we stayed at weren't the ones mentioned in the site, nor something 'similar' as it is in the description. There were at most 2 star ones in the middle of nowhere. So no shops no nothing. Just some hotels next to eachother. The places that we stopped to have lunch were super expensive and, again, there weren't any other choices to be honest. So the prices ranged from 80 dirham to 100+ per person. Whilst a normal meal in the city is 30 dirham or 50 at most (in normal places). The people at the agency were very kind, especially Layla, not like fake or something. That is the reason I'm not raiting it one star, also, the desert was amazing, but we can't give credit for that for the agency, obviously. Honestly, I really wished someone would've left a review like this before, so I know what to expect and to know it is not worth it. We paid (per person) 90 euros, but that isn't even a fixed price. If you went to the agency or got told about this tour in the streets of Marrakech, you could've gone for way less. Some of the people from the group paid 30 euros, others 150 euros per person. If you can make a deal for 30, I would say it is worth it. But if you actually want to enjoy the desert and the cities you stop at, I really recommend spending a bit more for a good experience. It's not like you go there every day, so, just trust me, choose a tour that is slightly more expensive, check the reviews carefully and enjoy.
