Great Overview of Athens - These buses gave us a great overview of Athens and the surrounding area. It was a lot easier than using public transportation because we always had a map in hand. We even were able to get to the cruise port on one of the routes, which was very useful. Employees at the various stops were always helpful.

Highly recommend - Good value and convenient. Easy to get around Athens. You can see a lot of things from the bus. Good variety of different things to see on different routes for no additional costs.

Great and convenient service - The service was great and very easy to access once off the ship in the port. They are actually waiting in the parking lot of the port. For use it made a big difference as we have 1 senior and two disabled people in our group. It also avoided us from having to look around for them or walk further to find the bus stop. Their maps are well explained with times and line, plus checkers are very helpful. I highly recommend it and would use them again.

It was ok - Good mode of transportation but it would be more helpful if they actually had a human being talking about the different places/sites. Been on several hope on and hop of your buses but I can't say this was the best

Convenient for getting around - The bus was very hot. If there was air conditioning it wasn’t working. Some buses have a shade on top some don’t.

Not exactly what it’s called - Hop on hop off makes it sound like you can just ring a bell like on a city bus and just get off wherever you want. But you can’t. It was pretty easy to manage where the buses were and when you were gonna get picked up. Some buses had good air-conditioning but you might just wanna go up top. If it there’s a covered ceiling outside at least you would get some air.

Not worth the money, Use the metro or a bus. - I wished Id book the red bus. Much better service. They offer one day free which is unusable since they end their runs at 6 PM. We had to get a taxi back to the hotel.

Hella M.E.P.E was awful! - Bus did neither arrive at location I called and confirmed (Marriott/Planetarium) as a point of pickup nor at the time specified (2:45 pm). Two times a bus drove by at a speed that clearly revealed it was not stopping while the competition (Big Bus &City Sightseeing) stopped twice. I called office again and was told one was on the way in 15 minutes. It arrived 45 minutes later. No ear phones or map was provided by the driver when we boarded so no narration was available for that segment. We transfered to the Athens tour route Acropolis stop) to a new bus for the Athens tour route and again no earphones or map were provided. The final insult was when we returned to the Acropolis transfer point to go back to the Marriott/Planetarium (Pierius route) we were told by an employee (shaved head but to very long hair braided hair strands) to wait next to a waiting bus. We stood next to that bus for 30 minutes when I saw that same employee drive up in another bus.I then asked him if that bus was going to take us and he went and talked to the driver of the other bus and, after they clearly had a heated exchange, he told us that at that point in the day (after 5:00 pm) they were a “private company and only were now only taking cruise ship passengers”! Needless to say we took a cab to our Marriott hotel ($25 European).
