Important and informative tour - The tour was outstanding. We came to Greece to learn and better understand the history behind the thinkers, philosophers, artists, engineers and scientists that shaped the golden age of Greek democracy. Our tour guide, Poros, was extremely knowledgeable and the small group format enabled us to fully participate in the exchange of information. This tour was the highlight of our 10 days in Greece.

Athens Highlight! - This tour was the highlight of our trip to Athens. Panos is such a brilliant guide - conjuring history before our eyes with warmth and wit. It was fascinating. Was travelling with my teenage son, who absolutely loved it too. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Interested in Philosophy? Take this tour! - If you’re reading this review, it’s time to stop your search and take this tour! Our guide, Panos’ passion for the genesis of philosophy and democracy in Athens was infectious. We got to hear the stories and history of Ancient Greece through his vivid and humorous storytelling as we strolled through lesser known historical sites that are still beautiful and oozing with historical significance. This tour accompanies a traditional Acropolis tour well, filling in a lot of gaps and providing additional, fascinating information about the birthplace of democracy and western philosophy. Highly recommended (huge thank you to Panos!)

Great experience - My hubby took our 15 and 21 year old sons on this tour with him. Here's his review: 'This tour was a great experience. Panos was our tour guide and he is extremely knowledgeable about the locations, history, and ideas that are covered by the tour. On this tour you will see a lot of the historical sights associated with early democracy and philosophy.' The boys enjoyed it as well :)

Perfect introduction to the importance of ancient Athens - Can't rate this highly enough. Firstly you pass by (with explanation) some of the lesser known yet still important sites. The running commentary of our guide seamlessly integrated them into the landscape of philosophical and democratic developments in Athens. It provided a fantastic counterpoint to the Acropolis that hangs over in the background, and injects a detailed sense if the history if the city. Fellow travellers were all very engaged and asked many questions. Finished off with a short discourse on modern updates to some of the Greek ideas.
