Acropolis Museum - After visiting the Acropolis, it’s a brief walk (5-10 minutes, downhill) to the Acropolis Museum. Opened in 2009, this modern museum overlooks the Acropolis and features stunning exhibits. The artifacts are arranged in a way that allows visitors to truly grasp and visualize what the Parthenon looked like in ancient times. It is considered one of the most beautifully located museums globally.

Panathenaic Stadium - The Panathenaic Stadium, which hosted the first modern Olympic Games in 1896.

Temple of Zeus Phratrios and Athena Phratria - The Temple of Olympian Zeus, also known as the Olympian or Columns of the Olympian Zeus, is a former colossal temple located in the heart of Athens, the Greek capital.

Corinth - The Corinth Canal is a man-made canal in Greece that links the Gulf of Corinth in the Ionian Sea with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It traverses the narrow Isthmus of Corinth, separating the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland.

Mycenae - One of the most significant cities of ancient Greece. Visitors will walk through the famous Lion Gate to the Mycenaean Acropolis and the Palace. The tomb of Agamemnon and the ruins of the Cyclopean walls that once protected this powerful city can be seen.

Epidaurus - The site of Epidaurus, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is expansive. With ruins of temples and hospital buildings dedicated to the healing gods, it is believed to be the birthplace of Asklepios.

Nafplio - One of Greece’s most historic and picturesque towns.

Nafplion – Olympia – Patras – Delphi

Olympia - Enjoy a breathtaking drive through the Arcadian mountains to Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, first held in 776 B.C. Olympia is one of the most significant sites in antiquity and remains fascinating today. While the town itself may not be remarkable, the surrounding area is stunning. The ancient site of Olympia is not only beautiful to explore but also surrounded by exquisite natural beauty. Visitors will explore the main site and the intriguing museum. At the main site, the temple of Zeus, which once housed one of the Seven Wonders of the World—a statue of Zeus made of ivory and gold—can be seen. The expert guide will show the gymnasium where athletes trained, the nymphaeum, and the main stadium where the games were held.

Patras - Patras, crossing the Gulf of Corinth on the impressive new suspension bridge to mainland Greece.

Delphi - Delphi, located on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, is home to the legendary oracle, the most revered site of ancient Greece, and considered the navel of the world.

Delphi – Thermopylae – Kalambaka

Thermopylae - A scenic early afternoon drive leads to Thermopylae, renowned for the valiant defense by Leonidas and his 300 brave Spartans against the invading Persians.

Kalambaka - Kalambaka is a town and the administrative center of the Meteora municipality in the Trikala regional unit, part of Thessaly in Greece.

Meteora - As you wake up to the breathtaking rock formations unfolding before your eyes, you will understand why this place is called Meteora, meaning “suspended in the heavens above.” Today, visitors will ascend above the charming mountain villages of Kastraki and Kalambaka to explore two of the six remaining Monasteries of Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most significant complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries worldwide. Discover how the monks live today and enter some of Greece’s most captivating Byzantine basilicas. In the afternoon, you will travel south to Athens for dinner and an overnight stay.
