Brilliant fun - The guides were excellent and we had a lot of fun. It was great to see how Weta create their magic. Especially loved the prosthetic department and all the scariness!

Weta Unleashed Tour - Really fun experience in Auckland. I really loved how interactive and immersive the whole thing was. We got to see so much movie making magic. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun afternoon. I really liked our tour guide too! She was really funny and great at getting everyone involved.

THE WETA WORKSHOP UNLEASHED TOUR, AUCKLAND - A MUST DO EXPERIENCE - The staff in the WETA Workshop store were wonderful, helpful and thoughtful, they stored our purchases for us while we went on our tour. The store is an incredible treasure trove of items and collectables from Lord of the Rings, The Dark Crystal, etc available for sale. The WETA WORKSHOP UNLEASHED Tour which my daughter and I went on was an incredible experience and definitely worth doing if you are visiting Auckland. I have already been recommending the WETA WORKSHOP UNLEASHED Tour experience to my family and friends back here in Australia.

Unleash your inner child - Fun, family friendly and informative 90 minute interactive tour. Our tour guide The Janitor knew his stuff and also had a sense of humour. Highly recommend!

Great overview of movie making - Excellent guide - Catherine who shared clear information in a friendly manner. Great overview of the process of film making from ideas, to model making to end product. Some inspiring techniques along the way 😀. Good value for money.

Inspo makers - Interesting and inspirational. Cost was fair. Tour time was ok. Size of the tour group was ok as well and the staff were awesome. Great for inspiring film makers, designers, etc. Would recommend.

Eyegasm Eargasm - Me, my niece and nephew had a blast from start to finish. Elena our guide did an awesome job with her stories and spin of humor. She has captured the attention of all ages and interestingly interactive. We had an eyeful of the creative art and an earful of amazing stories of Weta. We had our hands busy with crafting, drawing, molding to sword play. I have visited Weta several times and the magic is always alive. Keep it rocking until our next visit!!!

Useless 20% discount offer - Enjoyed my visit so much I thought I’d use the 20% discount offer made in the follow up ‘request for review’ email. Turns out that you cannot use that discount to buy a tour voucher to give as a gift…. Oddly you can only use that discount by booking another tour for a specific date. This makes no sense. You want a positive review from someone who’s already done the tour. I would imagine there are very few ‘serial visitors ‘. I would think that many people like me, would happily give a tour as a gift. Christmas is around the corner for heaven’s sake! But no. Here’s a healthy discount on another visit - just not on a date to be decided….we need a specific day and time for that discount to work. I wonder how many sales you lose because of that curious ‘offer’.
