Fez Middle Atlas Mountain Merzouga

Fes - The journey begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Fez. The route leads to Ifrane, often referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco.

Ifrane - Nestled in Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains, Ifrane is renowned for its alpine-style architecture, ski slopes, and lush forests. A notable landmark is the stone lion statue near Parc la Prairie. Just outside the town, Ain Vittel offers a spring with several waterfalls. To the west, Ifrane National Park, with its Atlas cedar forests, is home to the rare Barbary macaques.

Azrou - Located approximately 90 km from Fez, Azrou is a charming village in the Moroccan Middle Atlas. It is a tranquil, mid-sized town ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside, including the forest inhabited by monkeys.

Midelt - Midelt is a Moroccan city celebrated for its natural beauty, lush landscapes, and captivating scenery. It is also known for its apple production, as well as fossils and rocks.

Errachidia - With a population of 45,000, Errachidia is one of Morocco’s oldest and most renowned cities. Situated in the Southeast of Morocco in the Ziz valley of the pre-Saharan Tafilalet region, it lies between the High Atlas Mountains and the desert’s sand hills, in a rocky and stony landscape.

Rissani - Rissani is a sacred city and the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, from which the royal family originates. Rissani, with its vibrant souk filled with craftsmanship and its stunning ksour in and around the city, invites visitors to experience its charm and Saharan ambiance.

Merzouga - Merzouga is a village in the Sahara Desert of Morocco, located on the edge of Erg Chebbi, a 50km long and 5km wide expanse of sand dunes reaching up to 350m. Many visitors come here to embark on a camel safari into the dunes and to experience the remote desert environment.

Merzouga Tinghir Todra Gorge Ouarzazate

Tinerhir - Tinghir, situated in the heart of the Todra Valley between the High Atlas and Jebel Sahro, boasts the magnificent Tinghir palm grove. The city, once a French garrison, is built around a rocky outcrop and is dominated by the ruins of the ancient Glaoui palace. A visit to the Todra region is incomplete without a stop in Tinghir to explore its flowered gardens, ksours, and Kasbahs.

Ouarzazate - Ouarzazate, located south of Morocco’s High Atlas mountains, serves as a gateway to the Sahara Desert. Its vast Taourirt Kasbah, which houses a 19th-century palace, offers views over the rugged local landscape, featured in numerous films. To the northwest lies the fortified red-earth city of Aït Ben Haddou, while to the northeast is the rocky Todra Gorge. A road winds southeast through the Draa Valley’s lush palm groves to the desert.

Ouarzazate Ait Ben Haddou Marrakech

Ait Ben Haddou - Ait Benhaddou is a collection of earthen buildings surrounded by high walls, representing a traditional pre-Saharan habitat. The houses are clustered within the defensive walls, which are reinforced by corner towers. Located in Ouarzazate province, Ait-Ben-Haddou is a remarkable example of southern Moroccan architecture.
