Great service - The car arrived on time, very comfortable car. They walked us to the entrance of the house and took our tickets. Great service, we are perfectly satisfied.

A Must See Destination - This was the perfect tour; very informative and just the right length. The home and art collection of Jim Thompson are beautiful. His aesthetic is undeniable. The gift shop was filled with gorgeous merchandise. What a wonderful afternoon.

Memorable Jim Thompson House Visit. - The driver pickup experience was excellent and I arrived nicely on time. The transport to the Jim Thompson house and the tour are not connected though. I am struggling to see why I could not have just booked a taxi and bought a ticket at the counter, as the tour is done by the Jim Thompson Museum. Maybe if you want to be guaranteed of a ticket you would follow this route. The house in itself is well maintained, fascinating and full of history and art. Jim Thompson received many famous visitors. The dining table is still in the same position just as the lounge area. It is well worth doing a bit of research into Jim Thompson beforehand, although the tour was done in a lovely way and informative. The Penn Museum offers an article worth reading, which will lead you to other articles. A few weeks ago I visited the Malaysia Cameron Highlands; I had read about its connection with Jim Thompson and his complete disappearance while going for a walk beforehand. The shop sells high quality silks, just as the Jim Thompson Silk shop at Bangkok Airport.

very nice place, but unnecessary transport!!! go by metro!!! no problem!! - very nice place , traditional wooden houses , in a beautiful garden , beautiful! but 2 steps from the metro , visit in English , so why pay so much for 45 minutes of traffic jam , and a driver ( nice ) who just buys you the ticket ? be sure of you and go there by metro ! anyway , you will have to make the return by metro , and it is easy !!! do not pay this simple transfer !!!

They love white more - The whole tour is fine, even we waited for more than one hour to get our guide. But just feel very disappointed to the top floor coffee shop staff there. This coffee shop is on the 2nd floor of the silk store. We are Asian and they treat us completely different from the white customers. They smiled to them and gave wet tissue to them. They also talk with them with patient and happy face. When they turned their faces to us, they become impatient and rude. I asked where the garbage bin is, the girl even with a pull down face. This experience reduced our good impression of Thailand and I do think they should train their staff better. We were the only Asian in that coffee shop.

To flee completely if you are French - We took tickets on the viator website for an excursion to discover the jimson house. The driver came to the hotel to pick us up, dropped us off at our destination and then to pick up our 2 entrance tickets which delivered us personally we had met at 3:10 p.m. in front of the main entrance for the visit, so the driver is distributed without worry. at the beginning of the visit a lady tells us that this passes in English. She speaks Thai so we don't understand anything, then a kind of nasty (really) woman talk to us in French telling us that in 25 minutes a French guide comes to visit us .. 2 minutes later another arrive speaking half French take us the hand tickets take us to the cashier and tell us to pay the tickets because we did not pay!!! Now we had already paid via viator and we had the tickets, she didn't want to know anything she said who had to pay again, she took our tickets and put in her pocket .. we got relatively angry with her and we left. When leaving she dropped this sentence "it is indeed rich French who want everything for nothing" I said nothing I left, I contacted viator who knows very well cared for us.in no case I question viator or the driver who are not at all involved. Just that kind of Thai that really took us from above.. We had taken a French guide who knows a girl who works there he asked her the question and we had as an answer, that she did not want to bring a French guide for just 2 people that it would have cost more at the house jim Thompson than those that the entrance of the site was worth... AN ABSOLUTE SHAME REALLY!!!! I wanted to visit this place....
