• Mosaicos Barcelona MOSAICCOS (Trencadís) - Immerse yourself in the artistic realm of Gaudí with this engaging workshop, where participants will learn and practice the Trencadís mosaic technique. No previous experience is required, just an eagerness to explore and create.
  This technique, made famous by Gaudí, is a hallmark of Catalan Modernism. In 2026, we commemorate Gaudí’s centennial, and we celebrate this milestone by offering this workshop.

The hexagonal design featured in this experience was originally crafted by Gaudí in 1904 for Casa Milà (La Pedrera). In 1997, the Barcelona City Council revived this design and adorned the avenue with these tiles as a tribute to the city’s most celebrated architect.

Throughout the workshop, participants will receive guidance in creating their own trencadís artwork inspired by this historic design.

Please be aware that the completed pieces will be grouted by our staff after the workshop concludes. Artworks are typically available for collection later the same afternoon or the next day if the workshop is held in the afternoon.

The year 2026 will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the passing of Antoni Gaudí, a pivotal figure in the realm of global architecture.

Angelika Heinbach, the owner, received the “Mestre Artesà divulgatiu” (Master Craftsman Diploma) for Excellence in the practice and promotion of this art. This prestigious award was presented by the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya at the Palau of Generalitat in Barcelona. In 2019, there was a collaboration with Casa Batlló as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Volunteers project, “The Restoration of Casa Batlló, from inside to beyond its walls.”
