Definitely worth a visit! - We really enjoyed this tour company and tour. They picked us up at our hotel, which was so convenient. The bus was comfortable and the ride wasn't too far. We loved the skyrail-gorgeous views. Kuranda was very cool-loved all the shops and walking around. Be prepared to walk a bit. We then went over to Reforestation park. They had a small selection of animals, and free roaming kangaroos, which was nice. The aboriginal show was a little disappointing. They didn't seem like they really wanted to be there and it was very repetitive. We really enjoyed the duck boat tour. The guide, Tony was great, very friendly, personable and knowledgeable. It was nice to know that at the end of the day, we could just get back on the bus and be driven back to our hotel. Tropic Wings did a really nice job.

Absolutely stunning and worth every dollar! - We are a family of 4 -2 kids 5 and 9years old. We absolutely loved this tour, got to see and experience a lot of things in one day. It wasn't to exhausting, very well organised . Although Kuranda railway was not to impressive because we didn't see much ,the train was pretty cool and all the following activities were AWESOME! Kids and we loved the Rainforest centre it's a must do if you go here. Army duck tour, koala wildlife, bbq and aboriginal dance... so good, we got to throw a boomerang... And then to finish the day off with skyrail... very beautiful and impressive to experience and admire true natures beauty. Will recommend this to everyone an overall 10/10!!!!!!!! Thank you for unforgettable memories xxxx

I joined the Grand... - I joined the Grand Package that included the Butterfly Sanctuary. There were so many activities packed into the day that I didn’t really have time to explore Kuranda Village itself — which is my only regret. But still, it was such a wonderful day overall. Thank you for the kind and friendly service!

Tropical Rainforest !! - Kuranda Rainforest – world’s oldest living tropical Rainforest. We enjoyed 7.5 km long scenic ride in Sky Rail Rainforest Cableway running above the Barron Gorge National Park full of lush green rain forest. Took time in between the stops, to interact with Forest ranger / guide. Was fortunate to spot a monkey like creature, which was infomed was actually a kangaroo, although a diff type. Dont rush thru the stops, but take moment to soak in the nature.

Well worth doing! - We did the skyrail trip up to Kuranda and the scenic railway train back. It was well worth the cost and a great way to spend the day. The staff are very friendly and the trip up over the rainforest with two stops was truly wonderful. Our day in Kuranda was more focused on the walks rather than the markets, and then the train ride back in "Gold Class" was a great ride. Highly recommended.

Lovely gondola to tourist trap - I liked the cable car better than the train - better views, views all the time, and better stops. I would do cable car both ways. Kuranda Village is a tacky tourist trap but dozens of vendors for a quick pie and a beer. Or just hold your nose and make a bee line for the butterflies, birds, and koalas… which were nice. To feed the birds yourself, arrive before noon. We missed the creek walk - maybe next time…

Unique Opportunity to View Scenery and Reach Karunda - Using the scenic railway and skyrail were worthwhile experiences for reaching Kuranda. The steam railway was perfect for viewing the scenery to Karunda as it moves slower and the staff point out scenic points. The skyrail center in Karunda is easily found by the railway station & the return ride provided an overview of the rain forest. Were not informed by staff at ticket center we would need to transfer at the Redfern loading center to go all the way down in one ride although staff at the first stop did inform us. Were not aware could hop on and off to go with a Ranger for a guided talk. Need to be cognizant of time in village for bus reservation time as this is the shuttle assigned with your ticket for returning to Cairns train station & names are checked for your seat, otherwise become stand-by for other bus shuttles. No mention of this on website when booking tickets.

Self Guided Tour - A little disappointed as I expected a tour guide, this tour is self guided with transport and instructions. I was solo so remained alone. Some people even got list as instructions were unclear for those who don't speak English or elderly. I felt some of the experiences weren't well run especially the Forest Station. The lunch wasn't that good. The best experience was the duck boat tour as the guide, driver was entertaining and the sky rail was amazing.

Train was late into... - Train was late into Kuranda. Tour company had said there would be a bus waiting. No Bus. No comms from tour company. The group (30 people) stood around waiting for 20 minutes. A member of the group rang and was told that the group had to make its way to the next meeting point to continue the tour. Head office in town where not aware of late train. When the bus driver was asked why he left stated that the train was late so he left. He never advised office. Poor form.
