- Tipu Sultan Fort and Palace - Bangalore KR Market - Following a warm welcome, a Government of India approved and licensed guide will accompany visitors to explore Tipu Palace. This 230-year-old palace, crafted entirely from teak wood, is a fine example of traditional Islamic architecture, featuring the diwan-e-am and diwan-e-khas. The guide will share insights into Tipu Sultan’s history, his alliances with the French, the Anglo-Mysore wars, his contributions, and the controversies surrounding him. The on-site museum provides further insight into why he is celebrated as the Grandfather of Rocket Science worldwide.
- Kote Venkataramana Temple - Located next to Tipu Palace, this temple was constructed in 1690 AD by Chikkadevaraja Wodeyar. It boasts exquisite stone sculptures of Indian mythological figures on its walls. The intricately carved stone columns inside the temple showcase the exceptional craftsmanship of the artists. Hindu devotees often book months in advance to perform “Kalyanotsava” (the marriage ceremony of Lord Vishnu with Lakshmi) here. Legend has it that the Garuda Gamba of this temple saved Tipu Sultan from a cannonball attack by Cornwallis that would have otherwise struck his palace. The next destination is the Bangalore Fort, just a 10-minute walk away.
- Bangalore Fort - Originally constructed as a mud fort by Kempegowda, the founder of Bangalore, in the 16th century, it was later rebuilt in stone by Hyder Ali in the 1760s. Today, only about 5% of the Fort remains, but it is well-maintained and open to visitors. This lesser-known monument is definitely worth a visit.
- KR Market - For those wanting to experience the essence of India, this market is the place to be. It offers a sensory overload with vendors, workers, coolies, hawkers, buyers, cows, dogs, cycles, rickshaws, bikes, and scooters all vying for space. Piles of vegetables, fruits, flowers, and spices are found everywhere, creating a unique order amidst the chaos. Experience the vibrant and bustling atmosphere of this essential Indian market.
- Shri Adinath Jain Shwetamber Mandir - Jainism, one of the world’s oldest religions, originated in India and has a history spanning at least 2500 years. It is a contemporary religion to Buddhism, with core principles of non-violence and vegetarianism. Although the Jain community makes up less than 0.4% of India’s population, they contribute over 24% to the country’s personal tax collections. Jains own more than 28% of Indian property and boast the highest literacy rate at 94%. Nearly half of India’s stockbrokers are Jains, and their contributions to the success of Indian business houses are invaluable. Entry to a Jain temple is subject to specific conditions and restrictions.

Memorable experience! - The guided tour was fantastic! Our guide was excellent — very friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience both enjoyable and informative. We visited stunning temples and colorful markets that were truly impressive. What I appreciated most was that she wasn’t in a hurry and allowed us to explore at our own pace, even accompanying us to the places we wanted to see in the market. It was a wonderful and memorable experience!

It was a pleasure for my father and I to meet him and discover about history and religions in Bangalore. He even helped us for recommandations of shops as we were searching for spices and other things to bring back home. Thank you and don't hesitate to book this visit !

Great tour with a great guide - I showed up for the tour and there was only one other participant, so it was like having a private tour just for us!
Mr Govinda was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The highlight of the tour was the flower market.
Since it was just the two of us we added on a quick look at a silk weaving factory at the end. He was also kind enough to drop us at the Lalbagh gardens.
All in all a great way to spend half a day in Bangalore!
