In our Mercedes Sprinter Passenger van, we’ll drive through the historic Kona district in the heart of Kona Coffee Country. At Kona Joe’s coffee farm, take a quick behind-the-scenes look at some of the most unique coffee growing techniques and sample bold yet smooth Kona Joe’s coffee overlooking Kealakekua Bay. Enjoy spectacular views, taste award-winning coffee and take home a collector’s coffee mug only found at Kona Joe.

Leaving coffee country, enjoy spectacular coastline views to the Ka’u district. There, we’ll stop in at the Southernmost bakery in the United States – Punalu’u Bakery! Enjoy the freshest Portuguese donuts (malasada) or take some rainbow bread with you to the Black Sand Beach at Punalu’u. This uniquely stunning beach is home to many nesting Hawaiian seat turtles (honu) and the place where many early Polynesian explorers came ashore.

From there, we’ll enjoy and fantastic lunch at historic Kilauea Lodge! Choose from four entrees, sides, a non-alcoholic beverage of your choice and even dessert! After lunch, we’ll explore downtown Hilo, Rainbow Falls, Akaka Falls and the most beautiful view of them all – Waipio Valley! Finally, leave the driving to us as we follow the sun back to your hotel in time for sunset.
