Walking in the Clouds - Our tour guide was very knowledgable about the area and history of the Kona Cloud Forest. I was quite taken by her knowledge of the different foliage in the area, history and botanical importance to the environment. The trail was natural, which made it all the more interesting, The tour guide answered questions clearly and with confidence, showing her knowledge of the area. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends, co-workers and visitors.

Spontaneous, but well worth the time. - This trip was very spontaneous for my husband and I. I felt the cost of the experience was well within the price range of activities on the island. Our tour guide Heather rose was amazing. She was super informative, pleasant to talk to I felt like she knew all the answers to the questions that were asked. I also feel like the environment that the trees and flowers are flourishing in was incredible. Highly recommend this as an unusual stop on your Hawaiian vacation.

Perfect morning with nature! - We loved our tour with Daphne! She was very informative, extremely knowledgeable about the area and the history, and made the tour very interesting and interactive. The tour was perfect, not difficult, we saw really cool trees and birds. Cute little gift shack at the end too where they gave us a cup of tea. Excellent morning spent in the Cloud Forest!

A Zen Forest Experience - Heather Rose was the best guide and really knew her stuff. The forest was so beautiful and we learned so much about both the endemic flora and the flora brought over from other countries. The hike was leisurely and relaxing as Heather wove in stories with the facts and we all really enjoyed listening to her. This was definitely a zen experience that I would recommend to anyone planning on visiting the Big Island of Hawaii.

Excellent Cloud Forest Tour - This was a wonderful guided tour of the cloud forest and the birds that live there. Our guide, Dean, did a fantastic job identifying the birds and explaining how they live and interact with each other and the forest. He pointed out trees and plants and explained how they are used by the animals and humans. The tour was a very fair price for what was presented. It was not strenuous and we stopped frequently to watch for birds and observe their behaviors. I highly recommend this guided tour. Mountain Thunder Coffee Roasters is just up the road and offers tours and tastings and was a perfect way to cap off our morning hike.

Do this tour! - This experience ended up being one of the highlights of a very fun and beautiful trip to Hawaii. The guides were incredible. None of us wanted the tour to end. I want to frequently order things from this business to keep their mission going and help support the education and advocacy they are involved in.

Cloud forest experience. - It is an easy hike (uphill but slow moving) amongst a beautiful cloud forest that was only restarted in 1982. Before then it was open grassland for cattle. Trees and undergrowth are beautiful. Trail is well maintained. Our guide, Daphne, was very knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions. Great way to learn about Hawaii’s plant life.
