Intimate snorkel with Manta Rays by lovely couple - We are a family of four, including two 12 year olds with limited snorkeling experience. This experience is differentiated from other similar ones in that you’re part of a small group on a smaller boat with a lovely couple guiding the way. Brandon is your captain and Monet your interpretive guide on the boat and in the water. She was great with our kids and discussed shared interests. They accommodated our late arrival which was not something a larger tour would have even considered. We had a choppy ride to and from the site, but this was not under their control. The experience itself was incredible. At first we didn’t see many manta rays, but Patience Grasshopper! By the end of the 35-45 minutes in the water I had stopped counting at 24. The “grand finale” was a group of five who rolled repeatedly under the longboard we were holding onto; one of them did eight barrel rolls in a row- truly a mesmerizing species. In case it’s not clear- you are not “swimming with manta rays” in terms of being free in the water and touching them etc. This is because doing so would harm the colony. But they are literally inches (sometimes millimeters!) from you at times. You will not be disappointed! Also, you should know that Brandon and Monet just took over this business < 1 year ago, so the negative reviews from 5-10-15 years ago have no bearing on your experience! Recommend.

Marvelous Manta Ray encounters - It was an Awesome experience! The last 15 to 20 minutes we were surrounded by Manta Rays doing Belly rolls!! It was amazing, they would look you right in the face and swim right towards you and then do a belly roll right in front of you!! Worth every minute! I would highly recommend this experience! The Captain and his partner were awesome! Full of knowledge and kindness! Thank you for a fantastic experience

Excellent experience ! - The Manta Ray Tour with Ocean Eco Tours, was a great experience. The large wild creatures come right up to you, sometimes rolling, often touching you. At one time we had four or five of them, appearing to put on a show. So glad we did it. Monet and Brennen were very nice and professional. I recommend these folks for Manta Ray tours. They also do other tours, Whale watching shark diving Etc. Rick

Yay yay yay - This dive was truly the highlight of the trip! We were welcomed with big smiles and hellos that helped ease any nerves that were had. The mantas were SO close. It was insane. I can’t wait to go out with ocean eco tours again! 47/10 recommend!

No regrets! - The manta ray snorkel was by far one of the coolest things I’ve done and was thrilled they took footage for us to have! Ocean eco tours were very friendly and accommodating. I can’t wait to take my family and book with them again.

Must-Do Adventure – Thanks Monet & Brenden! - This was truly unforgettable. The manta rays were mesmerizing, and getting so close to them was surreal. Monet and Brenden were fantastic guides—super knowledgeable and made everything feel safe and fun. A must-do on the Big Island!

Too Hawai’i must do! - We booked a private Manta Ray dive for a bachelorette party, and it was one of the best parts of our trip. The sunset boat ride out was absolutely beautiful, and the vibes were high. Our group had a mix of experience levels, but the crew made everything super easy and stress-free. They provided all the gear and made sure everyone felt comfortable and ready to go. Once we got in the water, the Manta Rays came right up next to us — it was surreal! Such a magical, once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience. You can tell they really love what they do — and honestly, who wouldn’t? It was so much fun! 10 out of 10, recommend!

Must do on Hawaii - Had a great small group trip with Ocean Eco tours. Sunset was beautiful on our way to see the amazing mantas. The Monet and Brenden were great guides, this is a must book trip for anyone visiting the island of Hawaii!
