Engaging, knowledgeable, super fun - We loved this class. Our instructor has a ton of Michelin-star experience. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and engaging and we learned a lot of great techniques as well as some great cultural history behind the dishes we made. Highly recommend.

Delicious cooking class with an experienced, friendly chef - Wonderful cooking experience with Chef Mikel at GastronomÃa Bilbao. He was warm, friendly, and gave us excellent instruction for a delicious menu of Basque specialties.
A perfect mix of learning and enjoyment! Would recommend highly.

Fantastic experience - Mikel was an enthusiastic and engaging host right from the get go! Over the three hours we made 5 dishes and tried many wines and some cider and had a fantastic experience all round. Well worth the price and a must do when in bilbao!

Delicious cheese and wine. Amazing meal. Lovely host - Enjoyable first introduction to Bilbao. Mikkel was friendly and helpful with our cooking experience, helpful cooking tips and made the morning fun. Delicious cheese and wine. Amazing meal. And as we talked about the Basque cheesecake so thoughtful of him to arrange a tasting of the restaurant version

Cooking class - Ended up being just me and my boyfriend at the class and we had the best time. The class was both informative and fun and would highly recommend doing this class if you’re visiting Bilbao.

To do also EN family - We had an unforgettable time during our DE cooking class in the Spanish Basque Country. My daughter-in-law and I had the chance DE participate in this culinary experience, and despite being 13 years old, it was warmly welcomed. The fact that the course was maintained despite our small number that day is really appreciative and shows great professionalism.
A huge thank you to Mikel, our teacher, who was remarkably kind and patient throughout DE session. His enthusiasm and passion for cooking made this experience even more memorable. We highly recommend this course to anyone who wishes to discover local flavors in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Tasty and informative - Chef Mikel is a fabulous teacher and chef. He guided us through cooking some lovely basque cuisine and was so friendly that it was like cooking with a friend. Not only that, he also gave us all the recipes we made and made several suggestions of places in the city to eat. I highly recommend this class with Chef Mikel.

We didn’t want it to end. - Thoroughly enjoyed this experience - Mikel’s passion for food was infectious, the ingredients supplied were exceptional, and the food we produced and tasted was amazing. I would encourage anyone wanting to learn more about the essence of Basque Country cuisine and looking for an authentic experience to take this course with Gastronomia Bilbao. The Torrijas will be the best you ever taste.

Must join this entertaining cooking class - This was simply an outstanding class! Our Chef/Host, Mikel, did a fantastic job teaching us about Basque culture and the uniqueness of this style of cuisine and cooking. We also learned proper cooking technique (and unlearned bad techniques, as well) since Mikel had worked in Michelin Star restaurants. The food he guided us in creating was delicious as were the paired wines. Great value, great host, great cooking facility, not to be missed.
