12-day Roadtrip around Chu, Issyk-Kul and Naryn Regions - I actually booked a 12-day tour with Kyrgyz Nature. May is considered an off-peak month, and it was a challenge for me to look for a tour operator who is willing to customize an itinerary for a solo traveller. It was quite last-minute when I learned about Kyrgyz Nature, and they happily received my inquiry. I did not have a solid plan, and all I knew was I wanted to explore Song Kul and Kel Suu. They crafted an itinerary that took me to other destinations that will be worth my time, around Chu, Issyk-Kul, and Naryn regions. Askat is an expert driver. He can pass as a racer which means that you may doubt the safety of the drive sometimes, but that also means he knows the road so well. He knows where the nice spots are and he will motivate you to go there even if it will be a challenge for you physically. You will thank him for that, trust me. While at it, I realized how challenging it must be to DIY Kyrgyzstan, and I am so happy to have made the decision to book a Kyrgyz Nature tour. My favorite moment would have to be when we randomly saw a hill with a subtle stripe of red when we were on route to Tamga. Even from afar, Askat knew that it was a field of wild flowers and this, of course, meant nothing except for a detour. Definitely the longest and the most enjoyable roadtrip of my life so far. Thank you, Askat and Kyrgyz Nature! :)

The adventure in Kyrgyzstan - Twenty people were divided into two Mercedes vans. Unfortunately air conditioning was not optimal but still quite comfortable. Roads were mostly bad and we had total three punctures in these 12 days. But drivers were very fast in cha nging tyres... Anyway these unscheduled stops were picturesque too. Yurts were all very clean and comfortable.. Toilets in rural is always the pit type and a distance away from yurts so bring torches for night calls. Food were OK but if you don't eat beef or mutton you better remind the guide ample times. Horse riding was my best experience.Allof us were first timer on horses and we could manage the horses as they were all well trained. Riding thru green valleys with wild flowers is really enchanting.. Remember to bring only crisp new US dollars in 50 or hundred as that's a prerequisite for money changers... Need to use local money everywhere in rural area. Credit cards only in Bishek and Almaty(Kazakhstan)
