Day 1 – Arrival in Bujumbura & Bujumbura City Exploration.
Bujumbura Mairie Province - Upon arriving at Melchior Ndadaye International Airport, guests will be warmly greeted by our knowledgeable tour guide and transported to Hotel Club du Lac Tanganyika, a stunning lakeside hotel situated on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. If time permits (depending on arrival time), guests will embark on a brief city tour of Bujumbura to explore some of the city’s historical monuments and landmarks while gaining insights into the culture and daily life of Burundi.
Day 2 – Community & History.
Day 3 – Chimpanzee Trekking & Lake Tanganyika.
Kigwena Forest Reserve - After breakfast, guests will venture into the Bururi Natural Reserve for an exhilarating chimpanzee trekking adventure. Guided by experienced rangers, visitors will trek through the mountainous forest in search of chimpanzees while observing birds, monkeys, and unique plant species.
Rumonge - In the afternoon, guests will travel to Rumonge, where the afternoon is reserved for relaxation on the stunning beaches of Lake Tanganyika. Guests can swim, stroll along the shore, enjoy boat rides, or simply take in the tranquil scenery.
Day 4 – Return to Bujumbura and Airport Transfer
Bujumbura Mairie Province - In the morning, guests will return to Bujumbura and be transferred to the airport for departure, leaving with unforgettable memories of Burundi’s culture, landscapes, and warm hospitality.
