Cairo - Upon arrival in Egypt, a representative will warmly greet you outside the exit hall, holding a “Nice Tours” sign. You’ll then proceed to a restaurant to savor a traditional Egyptian lunch. Following lunch, you’ll check into your pre-booked 5-star hotel. In the evening, around 7 p.m., you’ll enjoy a gala dinner on a Nile cruise ship, complete with a folklore party and traditional shows, offering a vibrant Egyptian experience as the boat sails along the Nile. Afterward, you’ll return to the hotel to relax and stay overnight.
Day 2
Giza - After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, your private guide will accompany you to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Experience the grandeur of these pyramids, which have stood the test of time to become one of the Seven Wonders of the World and the only surviving wonder of the ancient world. Continue your tour with a visit to Memphis, a city of great significance in over 3,000 years of ancient Egyptian history, known for its temple dedicated to the god Ptah. Next, explore Saqqara, an open-air museum, where you’ll see the famous Step Pyramid of Djoser and learn about the pyramids of key Old Kingdom kings. Enjoy a lunch break, then return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3
Cairo Citadel - After breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide to explore the contrasting sides of Cairo: Islamic and Coptic Cairo. Begin with Islamic Cairo, visiting two of its most beautiful symbols. The Cairo Citadel, built by Saladin Al-Ayubi in 1176 A.D., is a prominent Islamic monument and was the center of government during the Ayyubid era. Next, visit the elaborately decorated Muhammad Ali Grand Mosque, also known as the Alabaster Mosque, with its alabaster-paneled walls and gold-decorated mihrab.
Cairo - Transitioning to Coptic Cairo, start with the Church of Saint George, also known as Mary George. This unique round church was built atop an ancient Roman tower connected to the monastery below. Your next stop is the renowned Hanging Church, believed to be the first basilica-style church in Egypt, featuring 110 icons, many made of ebony and some inlaid with ivory, with the oldest dating back to the 8th century. Your day in Cairo includes lunch at a local restaurant between visits, followed by a return to the hotel for rest, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 4
Luxor - After breakfast at the hotel, a representative will escort you to the airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, your guide will be waiting outside the exit hall with a “Nice Tours” sign for easy recognition. Begin exploring the beautiful and historic city of Luxor and its monuments.
Temple of Karnak - Start your tour on Luxor’s eastern bank with a visit to the Karnak Temple, which houses three main temples, several smaller enclosed temples, and numerous outdoor temples. This impressive structure showcases the achievements of many generations of ancient builders over 1,500 years. Continue to the smaller yet equally impressive Luxor Temple, known for its well-preserved hieroglyphs and statues, and as the center of annual Opet celebrations. Finally, board the boat for lunch, and around 4 or 5 p.m., a representative will take you on a one-hour felucca tour on the Nile before returning to the boat to relax and stay overnight.
Day 5
Hot Air Balloon Luxor Take Off Site - Early in the morning (please request a breakfast box from reception), a representative will pick you up for a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon ride over Luxor. Enjoy breathtaking views of the city as an open-air museum, with sights of the west and east banks and the Nile River dividing them. Upon landing, your professional guide will be ready to explore Luxor City’s stunning west bank.
Valley of the Kings - Begin at the Valley of the Kings, where ancient Egyptians placed great importance on their burial sites. Though it appears as a barren, rocky gorge from the outside, it conceals intricately painted and carved tombs beneath. Continue to the magnificent Temple of Hatshepsut, with inscriptions detailing Queen Hatshepsut’s birth and trading expeditions to Punt, now modern-day Somalia or the peninsula. Stop at the colossal statue of Memnon for memorable photos with family and friends. Return to the boat for lunch and sail towards Edfu.
Day 6
Edfu - As you continue sailing along the Nile River, discover Egypt’s hidden gems in Edfu and Kom Ombo. After breakfast on board, your guide will take you to the Temple of Horus in Edfu, a hidden gem representing the lost art and spirit of ancient Egyptian civilization from the Ptolemaic Dynasty. Return to the ship for lunch and continue sailing to Kom Ombo, where your guide will be waiting to explore the temple. Kom Ombo, meaning “a pile of gold,” is dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris (the falcon god, Horus). Learn fascinating facts about this unique temple with your Egyptologist guide. After touring Kom Ombo, return to the ship for dinner and continue sailing to Aswan overnight.
Day 7
Abu Simbel - Early in the morning, take your breakfast box and join a group to visit Egypt’s most beautiful temple, the Great Temple of Abu Simbel. Learn about the temple’s relocation to save it from flood destruction and its inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Built by Ramesses II, it was dedicated to Egypt’s national gods: Ptah, Ra, Amun, and Ramesses II as a deified king, the son of Ra. After visiting the temple, return on board for lunch before your guide takes you to the exquisite Temple of Philae, the “Pearl of Egypt.” The temple’s walls are adorned with ancient hieroglyphics, and among the large sculptures of Egyptian gods are inscriptions in the ornate pictorial alphabet, narrating the stories of this civilization. After visiting Philae, enjoy a traditional felucca ride on the Nile River, then return to the ship to relax and have dinner.
Day 8
Cairo - After breakfast on the ship, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight to Cairo, where your tour concludes. Our agent will be there to warmly welcome you back to Cairo and ensure your safe transfer to your hotel.
