• Canterbury - Begin the walking tour through the medieval streets of historic Canterbury. The tour includes visits to the Westgate Tower, the Crooked House, Marlowe Theatre, and the setting of the Canterbury Tales. The tour concludes at Canterbury Cathedral.
• Canterbury Cathedral - There will be an opportunity to tour the Cathedral. This tour is optional and not included, but can be pre-booked upon request.
• Dover Castle - Established in the 11th century by Henry II on the site of a Norman fortification built by William the Conqueror in 1066, Dover Castle is often called the ‘Key to England’ due to its strategic position as the nearest point to mainland Europe and France. The tour will cover the castle, the keep, and its role in the Dunkirk evacuation of 1940. The entrance fee to Dover Castle is INCLUDED.
• Elham - Surrounding Canterbury are some of Kent’s most picturesque villages, many with histories spanning nearly 1000 years. Notable villages include Godmersham, Elham, and Chilham, which boast charming village squares, ancient timber-framed houses, and numerous local shops, pubs, and churches. A visit to one or more of these villages can be arranged to explore their streets.

My goal is to provide you with all the background and history necessary to enhance your day. Since this is a private tour, we can be flexible—if you wish to linger longer or detour to see something else, that’s perfectly fine.

We will start with a guided walking tour in Canterbury, where you can admire the iconic Canterbury Cathedral and charming medieval architecture.

Next, we will visit Dover Castle, where you can explore the castle’s history and enjoy breathtaking views of the White Cliffs of Dover. Entry fees to Dover Castle are INCLUDED.

Finally, we will explore some of Kent’s most beautiful villages.

We can enjoy some ‘pub grub and a pint’ at an old pub or one of the local cafes.
