Airport <-> Hotel Transfers - Casablanca - Our Driver/Guide will collect you from any location in Casablanca, whether it’s a Hotel, Riad, Port, or Apartment. Simply provide your pick-up details, and we’ll greet you and commence your 6-day Cultural tour.
Rabat Old Town - Head north to Rabat, the capital city. Explore the medieval fortifications of the Kasbah des Oudaias. Visit the Hassan Tower, a minaret of the unfinished mosque, and the Mausoleum of Mohamad V. Then, continue to Meknes.
Meknes Medina - Upon arrival in Meknes, begin exploring the Ville Impériale (imperial city) starting with the impressive Bab al-Mansour gate, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, and the Royal Stables. Many palaces were built using materials from Volubilis, so look out for Roman columns in unexpected places!
Volubilis - Next, visit the nearby Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander through the merchant homes, temples, and colorful mosaics, including the Labors of Hercules. After Volubilis, head to Fes and spend the night in a traditional riad in the old Medina, enjoying local specialties.
Fes Sightseeing ⇨ Explore the Medieval Medina of Fes
Fes el-Bali - After breakfast, meet our local guide and spend half a day learning about the history and culture as you navigate the winding, narrow streets of the medinas. Fes, the oldest of Morocco’s four imperial cities, is often considered the cultural capital. It comprises three parts: two medina quarters, Fes el Bali and Fes el Jdid. Start with the 13th-century Fes el Jdid to explore the Mellah (old Jewish quarter and cemetery) and capture a panoramic photo of the city.
Chouara Tannery - Visit the 11th-century Chouara Tannery and a nearby leather shop for a comprehensive overview. Browse the many souks (markets) offering local goods and watch artisans at work. Visit the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and glimpse its beautifully decorated interior. Its university is the oldest still operating in the world! Immerse yourself in the Al Attarine Madrasa and admire the detailed zellij tilework and woodwork. After exploring the Medina, stop at a local restaurant to sample Moroccan cuisine before returning to your riad for the night.
Erg Chebbi - Embark on a relaxed camel journey across rolling dunes. Your camel caravan will lead to your luxury desert campsite at The White Camel just in time for sunset. Settle into your exquisitely adorned tent, complete with air-conditioning, en suite bathroom, and top-tier amenities. Venture up to the nearest dune to witness the desert landscape change colors as the sun sets. As twilight sets in, return to the camp for dinner accompanied by traditional Berber music, and enjoy a night beneath the stars.
Fes ⇨ Ifran ⇨ Cedar Forest ⇨ Midelt ⇨ Ziz Valley ⇨ Sahara Desert
Ifrane National Park - Start early today, as you’ll cover a lot of ground. After breakfast, meet your driver-guide and travel south toward Merzouga to reach the Sahara dunes for a sunset camel ride. Along the way, drive through Ifrane and climb an elevation of 7,146 feet (2,178 m) over the Col du Zad pass and through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas mountains. Enjoy sightings of local Barbary monkeys before stopping for lunch in Midelt (the “apple city”).
Merzouga Desert - Near Merzouga, take a short break and switch to a camel ride through the dunes to a Berber camp. The camel guide will stop by a nearby sand dune to watch the sunset before reaching your Berber tent in camp for a delicious dinner, relaxing by the campfire. Enjoy an evening of Berber music followed by a night in a nomadic-style tent under a sky full of twinkling stars.
Tour of The Dunes ⇨ Visit Nomad Families ⇨ Merzouga Desert
Erg Chebbi Dunes - Early risers will be rewarded with a sunrise over the sand dunes. After breakfast, begin your desert excursion in the Sahara to explore different parts of the desert. Head directly to the middle of the Sahara where nomads with their animals still live traditionally. Sip tea with them and see their way of life. Then, take the route where the Rally Paris Dakar used to race, reaching the Mifis mines.
Merzouga - For optional activities for the rest of the day, connect with desert culture and chase an adrenaline rush. Rent a sandboard to glide down the towering dunes or join a quad bike tour to kick up sand at speed. As the sun sets, climb the nearest dune to witness a vibrant sunset across the dunes. Finally, return to your hotel and enjoy a sumptuous local dinner.
Merzouga ⇨ Rissani ⇨ Arfoud ⇨ Todra Gorges ⇨ Dades Valley
Rissani Market - After breakfast, your driver will take you to the relaxing palm grove of Dades. Enjoy several breaks along the way, starting with the town of Rissani. Explore its busy market and observe the famous livestock auction. Visit Maison Tuareg to see traditional arts and crafts, including carpets, jewelry, and leather goods.
Gargantas del Todra - Continue to Tinghir, with its panoramic views and fascinating Jewish quarter, and then to the striking Todra Gorge with its 984-foot (300 m) high red-stained limestone cliffs. Take an easy walk or paddle in the cool water before hitting the road again and passing through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs (historic defense fortresses). Look out for nomads tending to their animals and traditional farms.
Dades Gorges - Continue to Dades Valley to see the fascinating rock formations known locally as “monkies fingers” and beautiful mud Kasbahs. Overnight in a hotel overlooking the valley.
Dades Valley ⇨ Rose Town ⇨ Ouarzazate ⇨ Ait Benhaddou ⇨ Marrakech
Ouarzazate - Travel to El Kalaa Mgou’na or Rose Town, where over 400 tonnes of rose petals are picked every spring to be processed into rosewater or exported to perfume industries. The festival of roses is held here every May. As you travel from Rose Town to Skoura, you’ll see many kasbahs among the greenery of Dades Valley. Skoura is surrounded by thousands of palm groves, and the most beautiful kasbahs in southern Morocco are found here.
Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa, with the biggest cinema studios in Morocco. Visit the famous kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy free time to explore and have lunch in the village. Then, head to Marrakesh via the High Atlas Mountains (2260 m), admiring the impressive views and Berber villages on the mountainsides. Arrive in Marrakesh in the evening.
