Chengdu - On the first day, according to the flight schedule, travelers will fly to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport. Upon arrival, they will check in at the Tianfu International Hotel.

Chengdu to Nyingchi, arriving at Milin Airport by 11:00 AM

Nyingchi County - The group will reach Nyingchi Milin Airport around 11:00 AM, followed by a visit to Milin Peach Blossom Village. Situated in Milin County, the village is beautifully decorated with pink peach blossoms every spring, creating a stunning view. These blossoms attract numerous visitors who come to admire their beauty.

Yaowang Mountain of Lhasa - In Tibetan, Yaowang Mountain means “mountain of the corner,” referring to its location at the corner of Red Mountain, where the Potala Palace stands. In the late 17th century, Diba Sangye Gyatso established Menba Dratsang (a medical institute) on Yaowang Mountain to advance Tibetan medicine. He selected lamas from various temples to study Tibetan medicine there. The Dratsang houses a Medicine Buddha statue painted with sapphire, leading the Han people to call it “Yaowang Mountain.” This medical school operated until 1959 and was also known as “Yaowang Mountain Lizhong Medical College.”

Lhasa: Potala Palace—Jokhang Temple—Barkhor Street

Potala Palace - Morning: Visit the Potala Palace to explore its chapels, audience halls, golden burial chortens, Buddhist frescoes, and thangkas.

Jokhang Temple - Afternoon: Discover Jokhang Temple, Tibet’s most sacred site, and then wander around Barkhor Street to shop for traditional Tibetan artifacts and souvenirs.

Lhasa to Yamdrok Lake—Karola Glacier—Shigatse

Yamdrok Yumtso Lake - Morning: Depart from Lhasa to visit Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet’s sacred lakes, renowned for its breathtaking colors and scenery at an elevation of 4,441 meters. Known as the “Jade Lake” in Tibetan, it features turquoise waters set against distant snow-capped mountains. Enjoy the tranquil beauty up close, with diverse mountain ranges, Tibetan villages, and grazing animals along the shore.

Shigatse—Tingri—EBC

EBC—Tingri—Shigatse

Shigatse—Tashilunpo Monastery—Tibetan Family Visit—Lhasa

Tashilunpo Monastery - Before embarking on a 4-hour drive back to Lhasa from Shigatse, the group will visit Tashilunpo Monastery, the largest monastery in western Tibet. It is the final but renowned historic site of the Tibet tour. Founded in 1447 by a disciple of Tsongkapa, Tashilunpo Monastery is one of the six great Gelukpa institutions and houses the world’s largest gilded copper image (26m high) of the future god Jampa. The journey back to Lhasa follows the Friendship Highway.

Lhasa to Xining (Qinghai-Tibet Railway)

Xining - Board the train at 8:00 AM. Some guests may return to Chengdu.

Xining Airport to Chengdu

Chengdu - Arrive in Xining, the capital of Qinghai Province, around 8 AM. A private transfer will take travelers from the train station to Xining Airport, concluding their wonderful Tibet journey!
