A truly wonderful day - The whole day was wonderful from beginning to end, due to our party starting in 2 locations, we opted for a private tour. Micael was a superb guide, his knowledge and passion for Mayan history was amazing, he used an iPad to describe (draw) things like the Mayan calendar and show videos of ancient games to bring history to life. By the time we reached Cichén Itzá lots about the ancient site made more sense. Micael answered any questions we had and his English was exemplary, although we did assist his pronunciation of jaguar 😁 I’m so sorry I’ve forgotten the name of our driver. Valladolid was a lovely town although it felt a brief stop to include lunch at a local restaurant for authentic Mayan food. (We were offered a choice of where we would prefer our lunch stop). The highlight of our day was the Cenote stop at Kiichpam Xunáan. As a fan of swimming in pools, rivers, waterfalls and the sea this was my ultimate plan for Mexico, the Cenote was stunning, crystal clear water in the most beautiful cave, the only downside was the time limit, mind you, I’d probably still be there without it. Thank you so much for such a memorable and special experience, I would recommend 100%
