Great experience in Cusco with the agency Viajaxmundo😊 - A wonderful experience in Cusco. From the first day the care was excellent, the team of the agency Viajaxmundo gave us a very clear and complete advice, including through a video call where they explained the whole itinerary and gave us very useful recommendations for the trip. During the tour, everything was very well organized and fulfilled as offered. The guide made the tour very interesting and enjoyable, demonstrating a lot of knowledge and professionalism. Thanks to Viajaxmundo for making our trip unforgettable. We highly recommend them.

Customer service and proactive communication need to be greatly polished - This is our experience in terms of tour/excursion services: The presentation: We did it well in advance in March for a trip in December 2025. The package contracted at the time was Lima-Cusco-Puno without flights included. At that time, the lady who was attending was very friendly and took the time to quote various options and explain to us by Meet everything on the tour and answer questions. It was a very good first impression especially being at a distance. Tour 1: Cusco-Puno 6 days 5 nights. Day 1: When we arrived, there was no driver waiting for us with a sign with our names as indicated at the beginning, the taxi driver arrived about 10 minutes late and we had to wait outside the airport. There was no activity that day because it was acclimatization day. Day 2: We did Chincheros, Moray, Maras and Ollantaytambo, the guide expanded much more in Spanish than in English, he did not say as it was what he explained in Spanish; when we arrived at night in Aguas Calientes, they called me to say that they did not have enough people to be able to have a group in English by 9 am, to which I replied that it was a non-negotiable because my husband only speaks English and it is his first time visiting, besides we were promised the billingue guide. After the first call, they call me back to say that since there is no group, that I can hire a private guide for an additional cost of $35 dollars, to which I replied that I found it unacceptable that a service that was included in the contracted package, was not being provided. On the 3rd call that night they ended up saying that the agency would bear the cost of the guide (which, in my opinion, should have been offered from the start and not try to charge me an extra. First indication of unprofessionalism). Day 3: we went to Machu Picchu with the guide, who did not give us a very good explanation and had an ugly attitude commenting on the places we stopped to take pictures, saying that there were better pictures elsewhere and why we stopped at these places when there are better, knowing that you can not return by the same place where you entered. Therefore, he refused to take pictures of us in the requested places and only took us in the places that he qualified as specific points. I thought it was really bad. In addition circuit 2 covers 90% of Machu Picchu and he told us that he would only teach us 70% and then he would leave. And it was already in us to go the other 20%. However, we were not in a large group and did not know how to continue without guidance, so we had to withdraw when he said that 70% was met. That was reported the same day before entering Machu Picchu. We would have appreciated knowing from the beginning and understanding why. Day 4: We had the City tour in Cusco, the guide did do a better job this time, but there was an opportunity when we stopped in Muray, he stayed inside the store with his girlfriend (who had joined the tour) and it took several minutes to leave, while we all waited outside the van and it had started to rain. Personally, the Cusco city tour we didn't like much, it felt good basic. This guide gave the explanation and then gave us free time and went with his girlfriend elsewhere. We didn't have anyone to take good pictures of us. That night they were supposed to pick us up at 9:20 pm to go to the ground terminal for our trip to Puno. At 9:15 pm I ask where the driver was. The agency was just answering that "Already on track" "It's coming." We waited until 9:37 pm for the driver to appear, our bus left at 10 pm and we ended up arriving at 9:59 pm at the ground terminal. The driver, because he was late, had to leave us inside the terminal to also make sure that the bus had not left so he had to pay a S/.1.20. A boarding fee of S/.1.50 per person was also payable. When I arrive, the driver looks at me and says: Give me 5 suns. And I: They told me it was S/.1.50 per person, then it would be 3 soles. Since we were just in time, he went to buy the boarding tickets (which were communicated to me the same day and not before that there would be additional expenses. To my mind, the agency should have paid that fee). Then he comes back, gives me the tickets and proceeds to ask me to return S/.1.20 that he paid to leave me inside. I told him to fix it with the agency. He had arrived late, and the payment of that fee was due to his lateness. It seemed very bad that instead of telling me the truth, that the driver was late, they made me wait and almost missed the bus to Puno. The agency should have been more aware of the transportation coordinations at the agreed times and had more proactive communication about any delays or discrepancies. Day 5: Upon our arrival in Puno, we were informed a day earlier that we would be waiting at the Puno ground terminal at 5:00 am and that was not the case. The bus arrived at 5 o’clock and between what we were going down and going to the bathroom, 10 minutes passed and no one was writing to us or waiting for us there. I had to call the agency at 5:11 a.m. so they could start speeding up the mobility thing. We waited over half an hour for them to come and pick us up. Wait 30 minutes, when the hotel was 8 minutes away! And sadly, there is no Uber in Puno, and I didn't feel confident taking a taxi off the street. It's not the fact that they're in a hurry to get to the hotel, but that they don't warn that they'll be late. They were able to write me at 4:50 am to see how we were on the bus and not assume that the bus would be late as we were mentioned. By now I should have cancelled the 2nd and 3rd tours. (On day 3 we hired a tour to Tambopata because my husband loved Machu Picchu and wanted to see the jungle. And we had also hired a City Tour for Lima, whose route and explanation had been provided months ago when the Cusco-Puno tour was listed). The tour of Lake Titicaca, Uros and Taquille was good, the guide was the best of the trip and we had a good time despite the mishaps, the scene made us forget the discomforts of the tour so far, and it was communicated that it was expected that there would be no more miscommunications. Breakfast was included for day 6, but because we were leaving at 5am for Juliaca, we ended up having breakfast on arrival at the Puno hotel that same morning (day 5) and the hotel was flexible about it. Day 6: It was the punctual pickup to Juliaca and we had no mishap. Tour 2: City tour Lima - Full day We hired this tour to do it with my family. Pick-up was in a tourist van. In the description of the tour, it is said from a "panaromic view" that in the interpretation of the agency, a photo from the moving van is enough to take a good photo from outside the Huaca Pucllana. For many, a panoramic view, is given on a double-decker bus with the opening on the 2nd floor, ESO is a panoramic view, but we were not on such a bus nor did we stop to take a good picture. The explanations were bland and without much detail. The original route explained was not followed, although it was reconfirmed if it would be the same as the presentation before confirming the tour, no change or the possibility of it being changed the same day was communicated. The tour should have started with the Lima Center, and ended in Miraflores with the Love Park and Larcomar and on the way back stop at El Olivar Park in San Isidro. There was no stop in Larcomar, it started with the Love Park and the guide did not know what had to go through El Olivar. I started my claim with the agency about it, because already so many things previously, I was very uncomfortable with the situation and there was no response because Miss Marly was not in the office at the time and there is no other person with decision-making power (in fact, neither Miss Marly can decide either). I asked to cancel the 3rd tour. 2 days before it was made, which by the terms and conditions, can be cancelled less than 15 days in advance with a penalty of 25% of the amount of the reservation ($499 per person). I started quoting with other agencies for $350,$380 dollars per person for the same tour. The prices of the quotes are above the market and one expects to receive a service according to what is paid and described, does not feel that way. They didn’t want to honor the cancellation and saying that it has to be evaluated with management if appropriate and if there would be additional penalties (Not stipulated in the booking confirmation and cancellation clause, which could have added additional penalties). At this point, 2 days into the trip, I couldn’t afford to leave this on the air, with tickets already purchased and no budget to book with another agency, especially that they didn’t confirm the amount to be returned. She chatted to Miss Marly, my mom stepped in and Miss Marly interrupted without letting my mom speak who was complaining in a calm tone. Unfortunately at this point we had to continue with the tour. But what was mentioned during the conversation is that the VIAJAXMUNDO agency outsources the tours to other agencies and knowing that they only pay what the other agencies quote and manage, I would recommend scheduling with these agencies directly instead of an outsourced one such as VIAJAXMUNDO. The guarantees they provide cannot be trusted, unless they are the ones who provide the service directly. Tour 3: Tambopata 4 days 3 nights Day 1: The airport pickup in Puerto Maldonado was punctual. They took us to the agency where we waited for other people to start the tour. We headed towards the Tambopata River and stayed at Hacienda Lodge Tambopata which was beautiful, clean and the people very friendly; the guide Fernando was very cool. We were able to see the forest from a tower 55 meters high and do a search for alligators at night. Day 2: We woke up well early at 3 am to get ready and go to Collpa de Macamayos, all very beautiful (excursions). At the end of the activity, transport came to change lodge, it is approximately 40 minutes drive. After 5 minutes on the way, the driver stopped and got out of the car, we all thought to pee but when he got back in, he said he had only slept 2 hours and was getting very sleepy so "we're going to go slowly, because I'm going to stop on the way to not fall asleep." I ended up going ahead to make the conversation all the way through and make sure he didn't fall asleep. When we already entered the city, the police stopped us and because he was next to the driver, the SOAT of the vehicle was never presented and the driver gave him a S/ 50 soles to let us go without a ballot. We arrived at Capibara lodge which was really terrible, very noisy and there was no electricity or fan overnight, the bathroom was too dirty at the level you could see it had never been cleaned. We had to wake up 2 times during the night to bathe with ice water and be able to continue sleeping, noise of roosters in the morning, loud music and the rooms are annexed with others. There is no key for the rooms, even though there were many people and it is in a tourist area (compared to Hacienda, which is much more intimate and smaller groups). The water in the pipe tastes of rust when you brush your teeth. Day 3: In the morning we asked the owner of the lodge to keep our backpacks apart and left them on the table only in full view, making a sarcastic comment of: "Half your life is in here, right?" We got uncomfortable with the situation, ended up taking the backpacks to the room and hiding them under the bed. After almost 4 hours, when we were eating as part of the excursion, the guide came to take a picture of my backpack (the one I packed for the day) and told us that the owner of the lodge was asking for a photo to know what backpacks we had carried. Turns out, just 4 hours in, he realized the backpacks weren't on the table where he had left them. Overall the stay in Capibara was so uncomfortable that we had to pay the next night in another lodge, although the tour was already included the stay in Capibara again, we did not see another night sleep there. We went to another lodge to spend the night quieter. Day 4: The experience of the tours itself was very good, however there is a lot of disorganization and misinformation on the part of the guides, drivers and the agency itself; they are all on different pages and make the itinerary in different order at their convenience without providing much explanation, as tourists we feel disoriented in the interim from one activity to the next. Day 5: We were picked up a bit late for the native family activity (which the agency added as part of the tour as a 'compensation') and then the Zipline activity. It was a short day and then we waited for the airport shuttle which also arrived a little late. In conclusion, this agency offers above-market prices, and I am sorry that we could have obtained the same service by paying according to what we received. The fact that we have paid more than other tourists paid for exactly the same tour, directly with the agency that administers it, makes us think and feel that we have not received the QUALITY OF SERVICE that merits the fee paid with the agency VIAJAXMUNDO due to outsourcing.
