Setting Sail on a Pony Adventure

As a family travel writer, I’m always on the lookout for unique experiences that can captivate both kids and adults alike. The tour wasn’t just about the ponies. As we continued our journey, we were treated to a spectacle of water birds, including pelicans and herons. The highlight, however, was a playful stingray that seemed to enjoy showing off for us, leaping out of the water and performing flips right in front of our boat. The kids were thrilled, and even my husband, who isn’t easily impressed, was captivated by the stingray’s antics.

Throughout the tour, Mike’s stories about the stallions and their herds added depth to the experience. He explained the dynamics of the herds, how young stallions challenge the older ones, and the measures taken to prevent inbreeding. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with learning and laughter, and as we headed back to shore, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the memories we had created together as a family.
