Salcantay - Begin the day with a hearty breakfast, then hike to the highest point, the Salkantay Pass, where stunning views of the snow-capped peaks of the high Andes await, including Salkantay, Humantay, Tucarhuay, and Pumasillo. Pass through Salkantaypampa and Soyrococha, discover a charming small lake, and start the descent to Huarachmachay. Enjoy lunch and continue descending to the campsite in Collpapampa.

Aguas Calientes - After breakfast, prepare for the next segment of the hiking adventure. Trek a portion of the original Inca Trail and ascend, taking in the beautiful views of the Santa Teresa Valley. After a 2.5-hour climb, reach the Inca archaeological site of Llactapata. The local guide will share insights into the site’s history. Enjoy your first glimpse of Machu Picchu Mountain and Huayna Picchu Mountain.
Descend for lunch, then continue the hike to Hidroeléctrica. Opt to hike to Aguas Calientes for about 3 hours or take a train for an additional fee. Upon arrival, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.
Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - Rise early, around 4:30 AM, for a packed breakfast. Start the hike to Machu Picchu, which takes about 1.5 hours. Descend for 30 minutes to the Puente Ruinas checkpoint, where the original passport, Machu Picchu entrance tickets, and student ID (if applicable) are required. After crossing Puente Ruinas, climb the stairs for about an hour to reach the main gate of Machu Picchu by 6:00 a.m.
