An Epic Journey from the Mountains to a Wonder! - The trek from Salkantay to Machu Picchu was an unforgettable experience. The views were stunning, with majestic mountains, lush valleys, and clear skies. Each day was a different adventure, full of unique landscapes, challenges, and moments to connect with nature and the group. I shared this with friends, and that made it even more special. Sleeping in glass domes under a sky full of stars was magical. The organization was flawless—the guides were super professional, and the food was delicious. An unforgettable adventure through Salkantay to Machu Picchu - Taking the Salkantay Trek was one of the most incredible and challenging experiences of my life. It's a demanding hike, but every step is worth it. From the imposing mountain landscapes to the tropical rainforest, the change of scenery is breathtaking. On the second day, crossing the Salkantay Pass at over 4,600 meters was a physical challenge, but the view of the snow-capped mountain is simply spectacular. Camping under a star-filled sky was also very special. What surprised me most was the connection with nature, the silence of the mountains, and the kindness of the guides and support team. The food during the trek was much better than I expected, plentiful and nutritious. Ending up at Machu Picchu was the best reward. Arriving there after days of walking made it even more magical. I recommend this tour to those seeking an authentic adventure, who are in good physical shape, and want a less commercial alternative to the Inca Trail.

An Unforgettable Experience - I did the 4-day trek from Salkantay to Machu Picchu with Marvelous Peru, and it was without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life. From day one, the service was excellent — everything was well organized, the team was professional and attentive, and the guides were incredibly patient and knowledgeable throughout the journey. Sleeping in the glass domes was magical. Being able to see the stars in the middle of the mountains was a truly unforgettable experience. The food was also delicious and plentiful, which we really appreciated after long days of hiking. Each day was physically challenging, but the stunning landscapes, the support from the team, and the positive group energy made it all absolutely worth it. Ending the trek at Machu Picchu was the perfect way to close this adventure. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic, well-guided experience with a special touch. Thank you, Marvelous Peru, for making this trip so memorable!

My second time on Salkantay: fewer days, same emotions - After completing the 5-day Salkantay trek, this time we decided to repeat the experience in its 4-day version, and the truth is that it was just as magical, although a little more intense. The hike is still challenging, especially on the second day when we cross the Salkantay Pass, but the landscapes seen along the way—glaciers, mountains, jungle, and rivers—make it all worthwhile. Sleeping in glass domes was once again a spectacular experience: lying in bed looking at the starry sky between the mountains is something you simply won't forget. The tour organization was excellent: the guides were very knowledgeable and attentive, and everything was well coordinated. The only problem was the cold at night (wearing a good coat is key), and the downside is that some camps didn't have hot showers and there's no phone service for much of the trail, but that also helps you unwind. If you plan to do it, I recommend acclimatizing in Cusco at least a couple of days beforehand and preparing yourself physically because the effort is noticeable, but the reward reaching Machu Picchu walking through pure nature is simply unique.

4 Days of Adventure, Stars, and Pure Magic - This trek was absolutely unforgettable! The landscapes along the way were breathtaking: snow-capped mountains, lush valleys, waterfalls, and even a turquoise lagoon. Sleeping in the glass domes was such a unique experience, especially watching the stars at night. Our guide was amazing, super knowledgeable, patient, and always in a good mood. Everything was well organized, from the meals to the campsites. It was challenging at times, but reaching Machu Picchu at the end made it all worth it. I highly recommend this if you love adventure and comfort like I do!

Machu Picchu impressive - "What an epic adventure! The 4-day trek from Salkantay to Machu Picchu was an experience I will never forget. The route took us through breathtaking scenery, from the Salkantay mountain to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. I really enjoyed the variety of landscapes we saw along the way, from the puna to the cloud forest. The view from the Abra Salkantay was breathtaking, and the Humantay Lagoon was an oasis in the middle of the mountain. The hike was challenging, but with an experienced guide and a group of people with positive energy, everything was possible. The food was delicious and the camp was comfortable. What I enjoyed most was the thrill of arriving at Machu Picchu after 4 days of hiking. Seeing the Inca citadel at sunrise was a magical moment. I felt like I was in a dream. The experience was emotionally enriching and made me reflect on the history and culture of the Incas. I felt connected to nature and the energy of the mountain. If you are thinking of doing this hike, I recommend that you prepare yourself physically and acclimatize to the altitude. It is worth the effort, believe me. The view of Machu Picchu at sunrise is breathtaking and will make you feel proud of yourself.

An intense but beautiful adventure. - The hike was challenging, especially due to the altitude, but the scenery is so breathtaking that it's all worth it. The team that accompanied us was top-notch: the guide was always attentive to everyone, the cooks prepared delicious meals even in the middle of the mountains, and the group became like a small family. Going to sleep surrounded by nature and waking up to views of the snow-capped mountains was something I'll never forget.
